When pairs of numbers start marching around together I call that a sync. It's not limited to two numbers. There is one case I found (not in Virginia) where five numbers were marching around together. It's a lot easier to show than to explain, so here is an example from today's Virginia numbers:

See how 826 has been following 219 after 12 days? Today is the 12th day after 219 fell on the Nov 27th, so my program flagged it. this is what I call a "Synchronization" or "Sync" for short. I used to track the Syncs that happened at 11 days by hand. Then I got ambitious and wrote a program to track the Syncs for as many days as I want (up to about 70, but nobody wants to look at that). These days I track six weeks worth of syncs, but I still prefer them to be somewhere between 7 days and 23 days. I usually double-check all those by hand to see how recent they are and whether or not they were consecutive.
Just for fun, here is the actual complete Sync Workup report for today that my program generated. This is where I get the numbers that I compress down into one short line in my charts. If I see something hot in this, generally I make a separate thread and post up the chart (like the little example I posted above).

And that's all there is to it. It's just numbers that synchronized over time. Sometimes this has been a way to make money. Lately it hasn't done a lot for me. I don't know why. At one point there were a few numbers that were pretty easy to make money this way in Virginia. I hit one a few years back when it popped up for the fourth time. Mostly, though, when I check these by hand, there are a lot of them and most aren't happening consecutively, over and over, the way that was more common in years past. However, I stay vigilant because I suspect that this workups will shine again one of these days...
That's it! Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks for asking.
