  The initial glitches seem to be largely over.   But 25 to 30 percent of the time a scan of the play slip will fail for no apparent reason.  With the old slips this was usually due to an error.   With the new slips it is often difficult to pinpoint the exact reason and many times I will give up on the purchase, especially if there is a line of other shoppers that I would hold up by trouble-shooting. 

  Secondly, manually inputting a simple command such as "pick 4, 50 cents straight for midday" used to be a breeze with the old system.  But this is now a multi-step command that takes time and most clerks frown at doing it.  I wish they inserted a "quick pick"  box on the pick4, pick 3 slips

  To their credit, the new system has settled down fairly fast
