I just thought of this method last night. It's based on an assumption that random numbers would distribute evenly over time.

Here's the theory behind the method:

Treat all numbers in Pick-3, Pick-4...etc as ordered numbers on a circle.

Then go back and get previous draw result (past hits). and mark the them as red:

Now the left over blue continuous areas are called spaces... Calculate and return middle numbers of the spaces .. numbers in green.

For this method, the theory is to play middle numbers of longest space lengths... if the theory of random numbers will evenly distribute over time...the longest space length has the most chances of being hit.

Here's the program that will calculate all the space lengths and return the green numbers for you for a number of previous draws that you enter/paste works with any pick games (ie, pick-3, pick-4, etc).

How many draws for the best calculations?

Nm p4 has many repeat pairs. I'm looking at a sum of pairs over certain draws.

Not sure what number of last draws gives the best calculations.

But I am just in the process creating an auto-back test where you can paste in all the results like as much as you have avaialbe. and enter a number of draws and it'll loop through and test to see where the hits occur using this method.

I actually was recently thinking of the same conceptual process. I envisioned it as a linear row or column, or circle. I was intending to use it for straight only hits. I was also thinking you could use some type of number reduction, e.g. all triples, EEE, OOO, etc. to further reduce the 1,000 number population. Additionally I was thinking of taking a block of numbers as you allude to and cover an area not yet populated or conversely spread the block of numbers evenly over the population, e.g. every nth number.

There are many roulette systems which use the same "sector" methodology. I've also seen lottery system sellers sell versions of this, i.e. lottery maps, etc. Although I haven't dug in yet I was initially intending to use number reduction to eliminate numbers and then do some type of analysis to see how straight hits behave on this line, or circle, etc. I thought a line might make it easier to use and also to use Excel, to facilitate its use. Subsequent to that I was hoping to arrive at a number block, e.g. 20 numbers, 50 numbers, etc. and cover areas which ideally would hit next.

That's it so far. Would be interesting if anyone has already done some detailed analysis on this method rather than reinvent the wheel.

backtest tool, you can enter large history and enter #of draws to test...for example a list of 20 draws, and test every 10 draws for each loop.

I would love to, but I don't understand the method.

Do you understand it? Can you explain it in terms of what you expect as input and explain the manipulations in simple terms and output.

I would love to automate if i understand what manipulations were done to arrive at the converted numbers.

The person who created already tried to explain in the thread... I just failed at understanding it. I don't want to bother them with further explanation...

Hello,

Another variation could be to divide the line into sectors and track the amount of hits in each sector. When one sector is either overdue or active, it could be played, etc.

Hello vince, good method, but you don't need pick3's 1000
only 120 in ascending order, if i know 75% are raffled is that then has to unfold by 6
to close with 720, you can then make the 120 numbers increasing because they will be drawn 75%, ok you can use blocks to miss games
what is left is what will be played

Hello,

I'm just talking straight, not boxed.

I guess one could use the boxed number set (120 numbers) using the same concept but I only focus on straight, not boxed.

An additon for pick 4 would be a position count say for 25 draws.

Then you could see the hot cold by position of each digit. Cut and paste the draws and the four positions would fill in showing what numbers are hot,cold from 0 to 9.

Hello,

OK first attempt took some historical data draw was 333. The largest open block was 667. The midpoint from 333 in the open block was 667. Next draw was 657 within +/- 20, 30, 40, 50 numbers from 667. $500 return, if scaled up do the math, $2,500, etc. Obviously lots more testing to do but to hit on the first attempt, no number reductions, etc. definitely worth some effort. Need to determine when you start, how long you play for before starting over, etc.

Tried to upload the graphic but the system didn't like it.
