What happened to Cash 5?
I just looked at what the Cash 5 is now doing. This isnt what I thought. I thought for an extra buck on your bet, you could basically multiple your win. Instead of drawing something akin to the bonus/multiplier # ball (think powerball and mega millions) they were just setting finite sums that your 2, 3, 4, or 5 number win would be increased to. No, they are doing a total 5 number secondary drawing. I really don't like that as far as tracking results.
I tried to search for another lottery that does something like this double draw. I found the Michigan Lotto 47 (its a 6 number game drawn Weds and Sat) where they let you buy into the "double draw" for an extra buck, and they draw another panel of 6. So then I went to my Smart Luck software and downloaded the Michigan Lotto 47 results to see what it provided me and it just has the initial drawing (not the double draw) results. I wanted to see how SL handles this type of double draw mess. I guess we are supposed to only look at the first drawing? Maybe view the double play as a totally unique game that costs more money with slightly elevated lower prizes and a very low, fixed 50K jackpot?
Additionally, you can't only play the double drawing, you have to play the initial drawing & add double play onto it. So would we select a panel of numbers that we think will hit the initial drawing (and only spend a buck on them) and then select a panel of numbers we think will hit on the double play and spend $2 per chance on those? Looking at the odds and payout on the double play I dont think its worth a $2 wager. yes, the smaller prizes are a bit bigger but the cost is twice the amount...well sort of for twice the amount you are in 2 drawings actually. Two drawings per day does make you wonder about the biases that you're tracking though. Are they really there anymore? IDK
Charloot and Lottofan let me know how you view the new set of results that we are given daily to work with. I guess at this moment I am thinking just look at the initial drawing. Maybe later this week if the jackpot is still high I'll get on the bandwagon.
