hello All lottery friends

I am new here so after some extra ideas ?

In AUS we have 1 to 45 numbers lottery and have to pick 6 to win so the odds are good and bad right !

From the past results of Saturday lotto i found there was :

the best Odd and even patterns:

O3   E3       160  times
O4   E2       158  times
O2   E4       115  times

the best combination of numbers :

1..10: 1 11..20: 2 21..30: 2 31..40: 1 41..45: 0     16 times
1..10: 2 11..20: 1 21..30: 1 31..40: 2 41..45: 0     15 times
1..10: 2 11..20: 1 21..30: 1 31..40: 1 41..45: 1     14 times
1..10: 1 11..20: 2 21..30: 1 31..40: 1 41..45: 1     13 times
1..10: 1 11..20: 1 21..30: 2 31..40: 2 41..45: 0     13 times
1..10: 2 11..20: 2 21..30: 1 31..40: 1 41..45: 0     12 times
1..10: 3 11..20: 1 21..30: 1 31..40: 1 41..45: 0     11 times
1..10: 1 11..20: 2 21..30: 0 31..40: 2 41..45: 1     11 times
1..10: 1 11..20: 1 21..30: 1 31..40: 2 41..45: 1     10 times
1..10: 1 11..20: 3 21..30: 1 31..40: 1 41..45: 0     10 times
1..10: 2 11..20: 1 21..30: 2 31..40: 1 41..45: 0     10 times
1..10: 2 11..20: 0 21..30: 1 31..40: 2 41..45: 1     9   times
1..10: 0 11..20: 1 21..30: 2 31..40: 1 41..45: 2     9  times

now to pick the right pattern and combination that's the hard part

love to here your way you  pick your  numbers

hello lottowin when you choose the even / odd pattern you are looking at the last digit, but you can
have the initial digit also pp, ip pi ii
    then = pair / pair
      ii = odd / odd
      ip = odd / even
      pi = even / odd
      ex = 03 15 21 26 34 36 40 = pi ii pi pp ip pp
you can use the start and end digits together so there will be 4 groups, before you have two

so i been thinking and what if you could find only 25 numbers to start picking from instead of 45 numbers

logic of my idea is this :

download the past results including the supplementaries

run an random generator that pick 25 numbers from 45 and  compare them the past  results and look for :

        1. 8 number hits
        2. 7 number hits
        3. 6 number hits
        4. 5 number hits

        and count the numbers

and end result will look like this as an example

        • hits of 8 numbers  :2 times in the past result of 512 lines
        • hits of 7 numbers  :27 times in the past result of 512 lines
        • hits of 6 numbers  :87 times in the past result of 512 lines
        • hits of 5 numbers  :151 times in the past result of 512 lines

                                             total hits : 267

The top 25 numbers highest to lowest are: 1,7,22,5,11,30,38,39,40,41,29,20,24,33,8,23,28,37,26,31,34,2,14,25,44

The top 25 numbers in order are: 1,2,5,7,8,11,14,20,22,23,24,25,26,28,29,30,31,33,34,37,38,39,40,41,44

        total hits : 267

        267 - 512 = 245

so the odds in playing  random sets of:

        • 3 odd 3 even
        • 4 odd 2 even
        • 2 odd 4 even
        • 5 odd 1 even
        • 1 odd  5 even
        • 6 odd
        • 6 even

from the 25 numbers have a chance of wining a small prize $  ????????

what's your thought on my idea and how I would write this in a program ???????

        excell ????   VBA ?

not asking you to write it  for me I just need a place to start as I don't know programming  but with the covid 19 I have time to burn to start learn something

I did this manually  took a long time last night

so look for 20 random numbers 1,3,7,12,15,18,19,20,21,25,27,28,29,32,35,36,37,41,44,45  and find what 20 numbers gets the best hits

my manual output from the csv file

          found 4 hits 7,21,35,44 on line 1
          found 4 hits 7,18,19,36 on line 6
          found 4 hits 3,7,20,37 on line 7
          found 4 hits 1,3,7,28 on line 10
          found 4 hits 3,12,29,45 on line 11
          found 4 hits 7,15,25,29 on line 12
          found 6 hits 15,18,20,36,37,41 on line 18

          found 4 hits 7,28,29,45 on line 29
          found 4 hits 18,21,35,41 on line 30
          found 5 hits 12,18,20,41,44 on line 33

          found 5 hits 1,7,18,36,41 on line 44
          found 5 hits 1,15,18,41,44 on line 45
          found 4 hits 12,21,29,41 on line 47
          found 4 hits 1,12,36,41 on line 49
          found 4 hits 20,25,27,36 on line 50
          found 6 hits 1,18,28,29,35,44 on line 51

          found 4 hits 3,18,20,32 on line 71
          found 4 hits 15,29,37,41 on line 73
          found 4 hits 18,20,25,27 on line 76
          found 5 hits 7,20,29,32,37 on line 77
          found 4 hits 1,20,21,44 on line 79
          found 5 hits 3,12,15,35,36 on line 80

          found 5 hits 21,28,29,32,44 on line 86
          found 6 hits 1,3,7,15,44,45 on line 87
          found 5 hits 15,18,29,35,36 on line 90
          found 5 hits 1,15,18,20,44 on line 92
          found 4 hits 12,25,35,36 on line 93
          found 4 hits 21,27,29,37 on line 94
          found 4 hits 12,20,32,45 on line 95

then add up all the hits and the subtract from total of lines in the csv file and if the number is lower  than the odds are good

I can see where and why the enthusiasm is so great here but, to be honest, Australia's Cash 3 is not shabby at all with its' AUS 590.30 payout. This is marginally better than most states which are set at only 500:1, including Texas where I'm at. In my honest opinion, had you spent that money on developing your Cash 3 strategy, which has much greater odds of winning than the 1-25 game, you'd be landing wins in the form of a percentage of the payout which could actually fund the cost of the other game. Ultimately, it would cost you nothing to play and lose on the larger game until you, hopefully, win. Make sense? Though the profit margin would be relatively small, it's still better than nothing...and you still get your money (cost) back. Just imagine playing your Cash 3 and turning even a consistent AUS 40.00. After (3) of these, you'd have AUS 120.00 to spend and it's profit that you're spending. **The reason I'm saying this is because it's what I do. I use the profits from my smaller game wins, Pick 3 & Pick 4, to then fund my 'wish list' games like $20 - $50 scratch off games along with PB and MM's. To me, it just makes sense and is financially responsible.

Don't think about it in terms of such a small profit, focus on how you're not losing your own money so to speak. Just my .01 here.

Small games, frequent wins, and regular payouts 'cause.....

There are seven days in the week...'Someday' isn't one of them.

Only one state in Australia has a cash 3 game, which is Western Australia. People from all other states cannot play it. Which sucks!!

Also, there are no pick 4 or pick 5 games in Australia. They are all pick 6, pick 7 and pick 8.
