Cash 4 Life started in Florida in February of 2017. Since then there have been 18 jackpot winners. There has been only one winner of the top tier prize of $1000 a day for life and the winners chose the 7 million dollar lump sum option. The other seventeen jackpot winners won the second tier prize of $1000 a week for life and all but two of those took the lump sum cash option of $1,000,000.

Here's some scary info.... According to the Florida Lottery website, Florida Lottery offices remain closed with mail in being the only option to claim a winner. There is an unclaimed ticket for $1000 a week for life, and it was won on 1/25/2020 with the ticket having been sold in Orlando. That's pre-pandemic. So does the winner know they won and are waiting for the offices to re-open? Or do they not know they won???? There are two other unclaimed $1000 a week for life prizes but they were won very recently, after the pandemic began.

With most players taking the cash option, I'm thinking they are very likely older players. IMHO, younger players that win $1000 a week for life are better served taking their prize as an annuity. It's us old fools that need to take the money in a lump sum and run. Another observation I made (but I wasn't surprised by it) was that 14 of the 18 top tier prize winners won with a QP.

As time permits, I'll post more C4L info in this thread. I have lots of stats that I can share with regard to performance of the numbers and Cashballs.

If I lived in FL I would probably buy a ticket on draw day - in the state near me we have Lucky for Life - but this FL version has better odds by about 10 million/1.

Hopefully that one ticket does not get lost into the FL coffers and some does claim it!

Lucky for Life only draws Mondays and Thursday though and its a $2 ticket - does the FL game draw each day?

Cash 4 Life is a multi-state game played daily in nine states all of which are located in eastern United States. It's flagship state is New Jersey as that's where the daily drawings are held. New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Virginia, Tennesee, Maryland and Georgia are the other states where the game is played.

Maybe the Florida website is only showing Florida winners?

The Florida Lottery's website contains a report in a PDF file that's available for downloading. It appeared to me that only Florida C4L jackpot winners were listed on it because there were only Florida Lottery retailers located in the state of Florida on that report.

Havent seen or heard anything on the May 17th New York winner. That could be because the NY Lottery offices are still closed and the winner has yet to try to claim their prizes.

It possible that there was a jackpot winner in Georgia on June 25th and New York posted it but Florida did not. Dont know. Maybe if there's a Georgia Lottery website that info would be posted there.

Yes, the NY Lottery is really the place to go for C4L winners. They cover all the states and will show any big winners anywhere for every drawing.

Maybe NJ might post 'all' the winners also ??? ... didn't NY and NJ start the C4L game together many years ago? I seem to remember that.

Yes, Jersey and New York kicked off C4L on the very same day way back in June of 2014.

To the best of my knowledge, The NY Lottery's website always showed any top prize winners in either Jersey or New York when the game was new, and as states were added they'd show those states too.

Right now, NY shows a Florida second prize winner on June 24th (as does Florida's PDF file) and it also shows a Georgia winner for June 25th (a second place prize) but Florida's PDF file does not. G5

So here's just a few of the C4L stats I spoke about in the first post of this thread...

The average sum of the numbers drawn in all 889 C4L drawings held since 6/14/2014 is 151. That simply means that if you add up all the numbers that you either picked or the terminal picked for you if you get a sum of 151 (or in that neighborhood) you may have a good set of numbers. Doesnt mean you'll win anything it just means that many times in the past the winning set of numbers added up to 151.

For 70.5% of all the drawings held, the sum of the numbers on a line were 113 on the low and 192 on the high. So**maybe** it's a good thing if the sum of the numbers on your ticket falls within that range.

For many drawings three of the five winning numbers appeared in the last 10 drawings, and four of the winning numbers appeared in the last 16 drawings. This would be for the WHITEBALLS only. (Not the Cashballs)

There's been 891 total drawings of C4L since 6/14/2014. On July 1st 2019 the game went to daily drawings so tonight marks the 366th daily drawing since then. #14's and 15 have hit forty times in the last rolling year and lead the way. They're followed by #'s 1, 50 and 57 which have hit thirty-seven times. #40 which is tied for third with thirty-six hits has been the biggest hitter since 6/14/2014 with eighty-eight hits. #40 has been doing well this year too, it's in fifth place with eighteen hits since January 1st. #22 has twenty three hits this year and is the hits leader for 2020. It looks to me that it could have forty or more hits this year and be the whiteball hits leader of 2020. But dont count out #'s 14, 21 and 41 because they are right behind #22 with twenty one hits each.

Remember - The whiteball hits leader for any given year will finish the year with 40 hits... That'll happen every year.

The Cashball hits leader will finish any given year with 100 hits. Right now, the #3 Cashball has 100 hits since July 1st last year. As of last night, the #2 Cashball has 53 hits in 2020. Looks like it will be the hits leader of 2020 and will finish the year with 100 hits. You can count on that happening. G5

Interesting stats G5! My highest win on cash4Life was a $100 win. The sum of those numbers was 98. Because they were all birthday numbers. Hoping to hit $500+ next.

G5 ... Thanks also for the C4L information. I will look for any further information you post. In my mind there are two ways to play this game.

You either pick a set of numbers (that you like) and stick with them or you start with a set of numbers and make adjustments along the way. It's too expensive to do both on a daily basis.

I have a set of numbers that have never come out in any lottery in the US ... but the numbers are taken from two large winning tickets several years ago. The five numbers were jackpot hits on both Mega Millions and Powerball. Three from one game drawing and two from another game drawing ... so they were all part of two jackpot wins and they also associate with dates/numbers in my life.

The five numbers have just 'never' come out at the same time in one drawing in any US lottery game. I was able to check that very fact out some years ago at a lottery site ... so I have been playing this 'mixture' of numbers for many years on the MM, PB and now C4L. It's possible that these numbers may have come out in the last year or two in some state lottery game, I haven't checked them over the last 1 1/2 years. That web site was updated and they no longer have that particular lottery number search program ... to see if your lottery numbers have ever come out anywhere.

Will they ever hit ??? Who can say ... I may drop them in the future to go with numbers that are currently 'hot'.

I also keep track of the last 25 drawings and sometimes play the 5 hot numbers ... but that is probably not a very good idea.

Someone else or several people may also be doing the very same thing ... and that will destroy a really good jackpot win if it were to happen ... with too many winners and all the money being split.

That's always something to think about in this game ... how many others are also playing the 'hot numbers' out of the top 20 or 30 numbers.

Today is July 1st and as crazy as this will sound, it's my favorite day of the year and not because July 4th is right around the corner. It a good day of the year to look at the first half of the year's stats because they can tell you a lot about what's going to happen with the numbers during the second half of the year.

I'm in New York (but soon to be permanently located on The West Coast of Florida) and I've extensively studied the characteristics of NY's Take5 game. (It's been around since 1991) I've seen things with the characteristics of that game that happen without fail every year. For instance the top hitter of any year will have approximately 58 hits, and by June 30th, the hits leader will have hit 30 times.

Take a look at 2020 for Take5 ===> #21 has 34 hits as of last night and #31 has 31 hits. One of them (maybe both) will finish 2020 with 58, 59 or 60 hits. So while I'm still here in NY, I'll be playing both them every time I play Take5. By the way, in Florida, Florida Fantasy 5's top hitter of 2020 is #14 with 37 hits. It'll finish this year with about 67 hits and will be the top hitter of 2020. #17 also has a good shot at being the top hitter because it's got 35 hits in 2020 as of last night. If I was in Florida now, I'd be playing those two numbers in Fantasy 5 a lot.

The same kind of thing applies to C4L, but unfortunately there's only one years worth of daily drawing history. C4L went to daily drawings one year ago today.

So FWIW here's how The C4L Cashballs look as of last night;

Cashball #2 has 236 hits since C4L began on June 14, 2014. #1 and #3 have 221 hits, and #4 has 214 hits (892 drawings)

Since July 1, 2019, #3 has 99 hits, #1 has 94 hits, #2 has 93 hits and #4 has 79 hits (365 drawings)

Since January 1, 2020 #2 has 53 hits, #1 has 48 hits, #3 has 43 hits and #4 has 38 hits. (182 drawings)

Given the above stats, I like the #2 Cashball as the number one hitter for 2020 and it should finish this year with 100 hits. (Maybe a little more than 100 but no less than 100.)

I took a look at the first 365 drawings of C4L (even though they were held twice per week) and I saw that the #2 Cashball had 107 hits from 6/14/2014 until the 365th drawing which was held on December 11, 2017. So my 100 hits per year for the top hitting Cashball theory appears to be valid.

I'll post the hottest whiteballs for C4L in my next post. G5

I know many players have what they often refer to as a set of personal numbers which they exclusively play. To each his own, but for me personally, I'm not a fan of doing that. I'd hate to have not played them only to check the next day's newspaper and see them sitting there staring back at me!

People like to play "birthday numbers" too but as I see it, so does everybody else and as a consequence, a nice fat juicy payoff might get whittled down to next to nothing. Given how hard it is to hit a jackpot, I dont want have to know what it's like to share one with a ton of other people.

I'm strictly a stats guy... That said, this stats guy has never hit a jackpot. Had five or six 4 out of 5's playing New York's Take5, but I've zero experience with a 5 out of 5. I'll be interested to try my luck with Florida Fantasy 5 because it's a little easier to hit than Take5. G5

OK... Gotta get this done as The Mrs G5 is after me to do some stuff.

As I promised above... here's some stats for the C4L WHITEBALLS

Since June 14, 2014 #40 has hit the most with 88 hits. It's been doing OK in the last 366 draws too with 36 hits. That's good enough for 6th place. It's got 18 hits since January 1st of 2020 with 4 of those hits coming in June. So as you can see #40 has been and still is is a number worth playing regularly.

The top hitter since July 1st 2019 is #15 with 41 hits, #14 has 40 hits and #'s 1, 50 and 57 are tied for third with 37 hits.

As of last night, the top hitter of 2020 is #22 with 23 hits. Three numbers (14, 21 & 41) are tied for second place with 21 its each. Given that the top hitter in any 365 day period will have 40 hits, I think #22 will wind up as the top hitting whiteball of 2020 with approximately 40 hits. A good sanity check for that will be on September 30th of this year. If #22 has 30 or more hits on September 30th, then it's just about a lock for the top hitter of 2020 award.

I havent hit anything so far (I think I had the #2 Cashball once or twice but that doesnt win $$$)

Another point I should make - and I've absolutely no idea why it's true but it is so here goes: Numbers get hot and stay hot for extended periods of time. I've seen that happen in more different lottery games than I can remember. And by "extended period of time" I mean months and even years.
