  I think people wind up in ruin from large winnings not understanding how money works. This is why they tell people to get a cpa or other financial advisor to give them the hard truth in a nice way. Much like when people spend thousands of dollars on a lawyer just to have them tell you youre not gonna win your case. Its a lack of understanding of the law and how it actually works.
