A Lottery Ticket Scanner on My Smartphone??Prev TopicNext Topic

  Wouldn't it be nice if you could scan your tickets using your iPhone or Android device? And just like in a store, after scanning your ticket your smartphone would tell you if you have a winner and how much you won?  Except you don't have to be in a store, you can be practically anywhere!

  I don't know about any other of the 50 states, but if you live in Florida, you can scan your ticket with a smartphone and see if you won anything.  Maybe the Florida Lottery's app has been around for a long time and I'm new to using it, but I very recently downloaded that app and just this morning I used it to scan a $19 Florida Fantasy5 winner.  Pretty slick dontchathink?  Your state got an app that does that?  G5

  Georgia has such an App..I think most States do..just hop online to your( hand-held computer, aka a Smartphone) device's app store.. should be able to find your State's Lottery App...

  I don't personally use one tho..too many apps nowadays embeds spyware, that's becoming more and more intrusive...

  I bet most folks don't know that websites can view what's on your "clipboard".. as well as "recent screen" usages...

  I've already got a real "BIG Brother".. don't need a "Cyber" one..!!

  G5.....I do believe most states have that available through their APP...no matter if its the Iphone or droid..In TN they want you to grant them permission to "access photos" to conduct this activity.... For this participant,that is where I drew the line...So consequently, I do it the traditional way    look n match... then use the scanner at my local lil country store if need be.(<-- haven't had the need as of yet ) But I do believe it is going to happen soon

  I wouldn't doubt many states do have an app that will scan tickets. 

  I moved from New York to Florida last November and when I did that, I wasn't aware of whether or not The NY Lottery app had that function, but it certainly could have had it.  I just found Florida's app yesterday, no idea of how long they've had it in their app. 

  I especially liked Florida's app today.  I had two lines with three numbers matched on my Fantasy5 ticket.  The app told me I won 19 bucks!  G5

  Interesting question. The qr code or the barcode or the numberscode tells if you won. If you cashed on that code, it won't pay on that code anymore.

  Any form of spyware is unwanted, Android, Windows or Mac os. Little updates can also ruin your applications. That's then a virus or an upgrade?

  I can play online but to get progress there, as on websites like lotter who ask big fees, you need a texarea or upload button to submit numbers from a file. If I did a filtered wheel online or on my computer, I could just drag the wheel to a textarea, or I could paste, or I could read in a file. Lotterypost has a textarea for the posted predictions. Imagine that everybody now had to click all those combinations! You have a wheel of 50 combinations pick 12 and you must click them without making mistakes. Your browser must be clean, the os must be clean and no spyware should be there. I figure that they read your files, eventually code that you wrote and compiled on your computer. Eventually this wifi is bad? I have no explanation. Yes, there were these virusses like I-love-you or that blue-screen? What if you had a BTC stored on your computer and the entire device blew up, let's say burned out. It's all not so great. Your internet banking falls out without connection too. And, that wifi, is that really safe? (...)

  So, for playing online, we must get rid of this click-system for submitting combinations. They can give the option, tap, click, type, or paste, or read a file and confirm.
  For keno the line separator can be used instead of declaring the count of numbers you wanted to play above the grid. That count setting is to much.

  I have that app on phone. It covers all our State games, including PB, MM & scratchers.Which is one of the reasons when l hand the clerk my winning tickets for cash- l am not guessing and l am not taking " you do not have a winning ticket here"..l know l won.

  Yeah, Australia also has an app. It's called "The Lott" which covers all games. It allows you to scan your tickets but also allows you to play by using either quick picks or marking your own numbers. You can save them as favorites too, if you want to play the same numbers for a time. It's quite good actually. I play my own number wheels every week and have not touched a paper bet slip/coupon in over a year!! If I have a win, the app will let me know (within the app and via email) and automatically deposit the winnings into my nominated account (or online tatts account for future use).
