I bought a dutch newspaper today. They charged 5.25 or 5.5, a lot of money. For that I can get over 500 sheets of white paper. People mostly read online, if they still like to read that on a screen, and with those annoying ads filled with african and asian immigrants, and the written garbage, or news from days ago mixed to propaganda or ... .

We don't even have such lotto newspapers here. There is no book or booklet about the lotto or pick 3. Maybe you want soduko or binairo?

How to see more 50’s. Not sure what that’s supposed to mean.

You don’t like my colored coded excel charts? I’m so 😢. After reading many of your posts. I don’t think I’m going to take your advice at this time. Good luck with that software that everyyyyyyyone is using.

I was very sorry to have read that Lotto Stats / Lotto News no longer exists.

Lotto News began to be published nearly 30 years ago in New York by Mr. Roy Siano. While I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, I corresponded frequently via email with both Roy and his partner, Steve Allensworth. I found both to be men of great character. Roy made an offer to me to write a column for Lotto Stats about MegaMillions and PowerBall after I had written a few guest columns for both magazines. I also had the great pleasure of filling in for Mr Urban Kress when I wrote a column about New York's Take5 game during Mr Kress' absence.

Due to personal circumstances, I could not accept Mr Siano's offer. I have since moved from New York to Florida but will never forget how much better of a lottery player I became simply by subscribing to both Lotto Stats and Lotto News. I'll miss those guys a lot. Thank you Roy and Steve. You're the best!

I dunno if anybody can or will ever be able to fill the void. Lotto Stats / Lotto News had a problem that wasn't going away, and will only get worse over time. Roy Siano knew all too well that both magazines at $5.00 a copy were too expensive on the newsstands. While neither Roy nor Steve Allensworth ever divulged their circulation numbers across the entire State of New York, it was steadily declining due to the magazines cost.

Another sad but true fact is when they started, Roy and Steve set out to get, and they got the best names in the lottery business to write weekly columns for them. "Red" wrote about NY's "Numbers" game for Lotto Stats for years, but eventually Red retired. They had Stan Rose ("Rose Knows Numbers Man of America") writing for them in Lotto News. You can still see a YouTube video from 2017 of Stan holding up a copy of Lotto News, but Stan too retired.

Four or five years ago when I lived in upstate New York, I had trouble finding copies of Lotto News on newsstands or gas stations. So I asked a guy in one convenience store if he sold Lotto News. His answer was "Yes". So I said "But I never see it on the rack." He said "I don't take a lot of copies of it so if you want it, you'll have to be here the minute it comes in, or you wont get it. And you'll probably have a fight on your hands with those other guys who buy it every week."

Those of us who read both magazines became smarter lottery players for having done so. It's sad to say but a true icon associated with all things lottery in New York State is gone. They'll be missed. Kevin Kaye

I made a lot of money over the years from that Magazine. I loved Red picks. I made the cover about 5 times with my large picks. I am saddened to see it go, I just got my refund check this weekend from them.

Wonder why they didnt move their operations ONLINE? Would've been cheaper to stay in business..

I wonder if they ever had a section in it called "Probability Math"?...naaaah, I doubt it..I hadn't discovered it yet...

I mean, that is the wave of the future..keep ya fingas crossed... that plan may very well be in their works...

Lotto News and Lotto Stats did have an online presence. As a matter of fact, they still do as their website is still up. Well, at least it was as of this morning.

As for having a section called Probability Math, you answered your own question. I don't think it's in their plans either. Nothing is in their future plans. I heard that one of the founders is/was ill. My guess is that Lotto News/Stats is gone for good.

In the 1980's, Roy Siano established a profitable niche when he discovered that lottery players craved a source of lottery news/stats/analysis and most of all lottery education that just wasn't available anywhere. The same things hold true for The Lottery Post. The LP must be a successful website or it never would have lasted as long as it has.

Roy was always on the lookout for lottery news of an unusual nature in the lottery world. When he was told that 59 times a set of five numbers had been drawn twice in NY's Take5 game, he immediately seized on it and asked me to write a series of articles about it that appeared in Lotto News. He was adamant that it should not happen yet it definitely had. He was astounded when I told him that during my research I had learned that it not only was happening in NY's Take5, but it was also happening in many other states Pick5 games.

Amen Debbie....

Many times I used the numbers from Lotto Stats "Best Sets" column that won multiple Take5 4 baggers.

How about that $50,000 PowerBall winner that appeared on the cover of Lotto Stats? The numbers came from Best Sets. I'm sure the lady that won that 50 grand has no regrets that she was a faithful Lotto Stats reader.

Your right , Steve is ill. Roy is a wonderful person to talk to. I wish they would have kept the newspaper on line. LottoStats was like a family.
