  For the second time ever, the top Powerball Double Play prize of $10 million has been won in the Jan. 1, 2022 drawing.

  The winning ticket was sold in Florida — they haven't announced exactly where in Florida yet.

  Congrats to the ticket holder!

  (The first $10 million Double Play winning ticket was sold in Maryland last September.)

  I have come to like the Double Play drawing quite a lot.  I have been more successful lately winning Double Play prizes than in the primary Powerball drawing.  Because the Double Play does not have a rolling jackpot that sucks up most of the prize money, the lower-tier prizes are actually pretty good.

  Hmmm, not all the States that play PB offer the Double Play. Here in N.C. they sure don't.

  Taking it one day at a time, because there's no way to know what might have been.
