If anyone needs more proof that the computer picks are not as random as they want you to believe then look at PA's draws for today. Pk 3&4 have the same numbers just different combinations. There will come a day that a state will void a draw claiming a computer malfunction Just like the casinos do with random number generators in slot machines.

Happens with ball drawing too. As much as we all hate RNGs, repeating combinations, pairs, and numbers is part of what happens in any lottery.

Here's results from Texas when we had one draw a day.....

List Pick 3 singles by low sums, high sums. Separate each sum row by consecutive pair and non consecutive pair combos. These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

I don't know any test proving that a result is random or not. If one combination is drawn 1000 times in a row then it still is part of the probability calculation. Yes, but it is not part of WinD's probability calculation. So, you guys are WindD's!

Well now, let's see what we got here.....

A randomness test (or test for randomness), in data evaluation, is a test used to analyze the distribution of a set of data to see if it can be described as random (patternless). In stochastic modeling, as in some computer simulations, the hoped-for randomness of potential input data can be verified, by a formal test for randomness, to show that the data are valid for use in simulation runs. In some cases, data reveals an obvious non-random pattern, as with so-called "runs in the data" (such as expecting random 0–9 but finding "4 3 2 1 0 4 3 2 1..." and rarely going above 4). If a selected set of data fails the tests, then parameters can be changed or other randomized data can be used which does pass the tests for randomness.

The Wald–Wolfowitz runs test (or simply runs test), named after statisticians Abraham Wald and Jacob Wolfowitz is a non-parametric statistical test that checks a randomness hypothesis for a two-valued data sequence. More precisely, it can be used to test the hypothesis that the elements of the sequence are mutually independent.

And there are other tests....
The Kolmogorov–Smirnov test has been shown to be more powerful than the Wald–Wolfowitz test

It's true there is no test that detects if a single data point is random, but there are tests that work on large sets of data points to test if they are random. The output of such tests is not a definitive yes or no answer, but a p-value.

I don't know why you are so windy all the time, but judging from your food pics you might benefit from eating some fresh vegetables once a while, you know, not drowned in cheese sauce. Very good for the brain.

Sounds like we've got yet another member of the "I played, I lost, it's fixed" club.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

You always can compare to some model, but you cannot say that it is not random when your numbers don't turn up!

If you criticize that 0-9, no digit above 4 is drawn for a while, then you are criticizing the mathematics itself! Same for the sequence.

Each lottery defines their own random whether it's live ball drawings, a computer RNG, or putting the numbers on slips of paper and drawing them out of a hat. When the Tennessee Lottery went to RNG drawings, someone forgot to click the "allow duplicate or repeat digits" button and for there were no doubles or triples drawn in their pick-3 game for about a month.

They reduced the pick-3 odds to 720 to 1 and the pick-4 to 5040 to 1.

Do you have any data or mathematics to prove your claim, Mr. Bluff Puppy?

Do you think the RNG code should be Open Source? Will that create more winners? Will it create more cheaters?

I understand the feear of States voiding draws.

But the fear of a casino (which voids slots wins alot) is a lot differnt than states voiding draws,

because the Casino is under the auspice of the State. Its an entirely different beast.

Although its a beast within a beast.

I could be wrong.
