Going back to the last 858 Powerball drawings which was 2015 before they switched over to 69 white balls.
There are 5 white balls drawn out of a possible 69 balls meaning that any white ball has a chance of being drawn about 7.5% of the time
The ball that was picked the fewest was picked 46 times or 5.4%
The ball the was picked the most was picked 84 times or 9.8%
The 5 most picked balls were never selected in the same drawing.
In the North Carolina Pick 3. There are 3 white balls out of a possible 10 meaning each ball has a chance of being selected about 10% of the time. If you go back to the last 11,000 drawings or 17 years that include both day and night the average % of the 1st ball, 2nd ball and 3rd ball being drawn each time is 10%.
To be more specific over the 17 years for example for the first ball selected it was...
0 - 10.1%
1 - 10.2%
2 - 10.0%
3 -9.9%
4 - 9.5%
5 - 10.2%
6 - 10.0%
7 - 10.7%
8 - 10.4%
9 - 10.0%

I just think that lotto balls are inanimate objects and don't know when they are supposed to appear. I witnessed a guy lose several thousand dollars one night in Vegas at the Roulette table. He kept betting on RED because it was due as Black had hit already a couple times in a row. After 12 more spins of Black, Green and Double Green, the guy left the table. There was 1 more spin of Black and then RED.
