Some are even far more sophisticated with statistical data for skips and hits.
But there is no guaranteed hit that would fall exactly as per expectation nor can We put an exact end for hot or cold streak.
There have been some past posts about how long to wait and play cold streaks and so on. You can search old posts.
Studying some recent trends or patterns might help

Even if we manage to discover a pattern, we do not know how often the pattern will fall, the lottery is difficult.

Wasn't something I could get. I tried that and longest out. Longest out will mislead you too. I had a sum that had never stayed out, say 77 draws. I started playing it at say 71, betting it wouldn't make 77..
It did. Passed 77 and went about 7 to 10 draws longer
I hit for $250 but once all the losing tickets were totaled, I ended up with $67 or $87 plus dollars.
If I did that again I'd wait until the digits, pair, sum, whatever was nudging going over the longest out time.
There is no set frequency when we're talking time out.
If I recollect Carbon did win $25000 playing one of the Florida games using skips can't remember if it was him or another Floridian.

I'm probably here unless I'm not.
Dreaming would be a perfectly useless function if it's only purpose was to entertain. -

Wow 25000$ is worth shedding some $$$
But as We watch, many coldest don't hit on time. Usually playing coldest items just bites our fingers.
Even to get such a hit, one would need to corner some play item and hit.
May be a waging strategy along with chasing coldest might work. But one has to be ready to shed $$$ ahead of time for that to hit and wait patiently.
Rather mixing warm, cold and coldest with some filters might be better bet than chasing either hot or cold alone.

No worries I have read your posts. You are also excused...
I have good knowledge of stats and all past forum posts.
If you need more data and wish to discuss, We can take true random data and run some random games and compare to real world games run by lottery organizations
The fact is that, it is hard to even identify frauds in lottery as odds stack up to millions and not 10s or 100s
ONLY REAL 100% VALID DISCUSSSIONS...
I would discuss only if the discussion is taken in right direction and not taken personally.
Good Luck

Across all states that run state lotteries backed by various lottery organizations, We can list out and pin point wierdo statistics and discuss here if people point to actual state and website URL.
We will pull the data and analyze and show expected vs actual occurrence over days, months, years of data and pin point weird cold and weird hot streaks....
I have posted my pick3 and pick 4 statistics and some of my tools for people to use earlier... I have big games statistics not posted publicly..
let us dissect pick games and see what is weird and what is not... That is randomness... Now is the time to bring out these excels and show all state lotteries have cold and hot streaks which would make one feel "what weird thing is going on...????"
It's all just random... Patterns and trends popup and go away like bubbles but random is random... That is what is state's pillar to run random games. More losers over winners...
Good Luck challenging those...

Here's my daily skip sheet. It include counts to the right. 19 and 20 draws back. I use the skip chart when I create my lottery wheels. If a line includes three numbers from the same row or column. I can skip it. I did track them for awhile two years ago. I entered the hits manually. Wasn't that good at excel at that time. I should do a deeper dive on skips. Winning numbers highlighted in blue are for the rolling cash five. I had 3/5 twice and 2/5 Eleven times. 11,12 and 28 were my numbers. No 19 or 21. Three one counts hit. Rare for a 9 count. It's only occurred 17 of 259 draws (6.6%).

Not sure what you expect to find with frequency analysis. Frequencies don't change but perhaps a tenth (maybe a hundredth) of point after a couple thousand draws. I use the ROUND function to calculate frequency. And always calculate the frequency for the entire matrix for use as a baseline.
Unless I misread what you mean by skip distribution patterns, you'd first have to determine length of pattern, and all possibilities for that length.
Skip trend over time will require some dedication as well.
Correlation analysis to what? What do you intend to correlate? You need something to compare and contrast to something else.
Not interested in machine learning at this point. So no comment on that.
What is the difference in comparative analysis and correlation analysis? Aren't we still comparing?
Not picking on you but if you want responses you need to be clear of what you want, what the purpose is, how big the data base is, etc
The more precise we are in describing what we expect, the better replies we receive

- Frequency Analysis
- Skip Distribution Patterns
- Skip Trends Over Time
- Correlation Analysis
- Machine Learning Approaches
- Comparative Analysis
1. Frequency analysis : Very basic analysis is expected vs actual frequency :any bias or short term/long term trend will show up if compared side by side. Difference of actual to expected is bias. You can add some weights for that when projecting/predicting. You can analyze frequency over periods 10,20,30,60,90,180, 360,720, 1440, etc., and see long term and short term trends/stats. Back test and see how the trend shifts. Catch hold of the growing trend and use it.
2. Skip Distribution patterns : Skips table has to be rendered first(your first post has it). Then like Cmoore50, dive into skips specific analysis : which skip to look at or when to look at. His screenshot should give an idea. He has also posted some threads earlier detailing how He uses skips.
Which skips are hitting often or rare - any trends, etc., ?
3. Skip Trends : watch and derive based on expected vs actual skips, average skips, max skips : if a number characteristic or subject characteristic under study has equal or near equal probability, skips across each item can be correlated and compared.
e.g., digits in straight pick 1 to pick n in any position are equal exact expected hit. So average skips are also equal. In this case, one can compare across items to generate trends and patterns. Add needed weights in predictions/projections.
Example of unequal are pick 1 to pick n in boxed mode is unequal.
For unequal characteristics one can try to normalize or extrapolate and compare...Any bias can be used during prediction/projection.
4. Correlation analysis : not sure.
5. Machine Learning Approaches : There are many LSTM, recurrent NN, Bayesian network, etc.,
If you are a programmer, there are bunch of ready made libraries and API available to consume and use. You have to normalize the data prior to running these.
6. Comparative analysis : follower trend/bias and cross number characteristics trend/bias
Bayes, Linear regression, Multiple linear regression are some sort of analysis/statistics that can be used to project.
Whatever you have listed is part of many paid software. And as I mentioned earlier, many people have personal home brewed systems to analyze. With lottery there is no deterministic method or strategy. A method or strategy will work for some time and fade away....
At the end it is all random and based on the game's probability, you will be facing the same odds with or without a system. Systems let us make somewhat informed decision(the statistics tables show so). Automation helps but could be affected by the rules put in place.
If you chase cold you will have to wait for a long time. If you chase hot, you will play more tickets.
Remember with so many math scholars, extraordinary programmers, visual interpretation masters, by now a group should be winning Lottery regularly. We don't see that happening.
Reality is that it is all random; Be it the test draws or ball set changes or machine changes or other unknown factors at the end the odds are way too big to bring down daily play to an affordable play limit.
Good Luck

In addition after catching a trend, you will be seeing that multiple characteristics under study will have different trends and even one could flip away from growing trend. To filter to a daily play limit multiple filters will be needed.
This is why many people think "This/My combination or number should have hit today or in a week or in a month : the lottery is broken or fixed, etc.,"
Jot down and play certain filters for days, weeks and months. Also drop off and switch certain filters daily/regularly(depending on relative draw comparison filters e.g., repeating numbers). This way you will catch a win at some point when the filter hits. Unfortunately holding on to such filters will need patience and daily play trend.
In another thread I mentioned about "What is weird? How long weird will be left out?". Those are the signatures of random...
I have run simulations with multiple random games and data. I could see there are weirdo patterns occurring and disappearing. On a final note, lottery is built on random and house wins most of the time. The same random lets us guess as only 5/36 or 5/69 or 5/70 are only chose and eliminating many numbers is possible daily. cornering the 5 or 10 or 20 is big thing.
