A while back I was playing around with 046 combo numbers. On a pure blue-sky hunch, I compiled a list of the dates for all the instances of 046 combo hits and dropped that in a spreadsheet. I subtracted the dates to make a list of how many calendar days separated each 046 combo hit. Then I sorted on the separation column just to see if there was some separation that was most common. Usually these blue-sky things turn out to be duds, but not this one. Without a doubt, it was very clear that 84 days was the gold standard for separation of days between 046 combo hits. There are five hits on 84 days separation. Five Hits!!! I did the workup twice to make sure I hadn't made a mistake.
Whoa! I thought I had cracked the code. No kidding! I was so hyped that I wrote a little reminder routine in my reports program to remind me whenever a combo of 046 dropped so that I could plan ahead and try to catch the next instance at 84 days. Sure enough, we got a hit on the 046 combo back on July 11th (see chart below). So I counted 84 days to October 3rd and set a reminder to make a big stink the morning of October 3rd about this workup. Instead, the morning of October 3rd I awoke to discover that the 046 combo had fallen the night before (on the 83rd day). Wow! That made my head spin.
In the past, when I have been chasing syncs between pairs of numbers, I have seen multiple instances where a sync will happen several times at X number of days and then be off by one, at X-1. On multiple instances, this has been a hint that another instance would fall on the next occasion at the original X separation. I actually won money using exactly this method.
And that's what inspired me to make the below chart that I didn't want to clutter increase's thread up with. It's a long chart because of the clumsy linear way I did the calendar. I have marked the recent instances of 046 combo numbers and annotated the calendar with the 84 day target dates associated with each of those instances.
Be careful with this because chasing 6-way combos can get spendy, but here is the calendar of what I'm looking for. Prepare for a little shock because the next-to-the last one targets two days before Thanksgiving and the last one targets Christmas day, which is a little peculiar.
