When six numbers are chosen in the 6/49 lottery, the maximum number of columns the six numbers can occupy is six columns of five rows. 6 x 5= 30 numbers. If one of the winning numbers fall in to column 10 then total pool will be 29. There are 120 total of 29 and 30 number pools. One of the 120 pools is guaranteed to contain all the winning numbers. The bonus number is the seventh number chosen. I found that 90 % of the draws, all seven numbers fall in to six of the 10 columns.
Have a good look at the grid. Notice that all the rows (1-5) of numbers share the same column numbers (1-0). Example column 1- 01-11-21-31-41, 2-02-12-22-32-42,etc.
I found when 6/49 game is played that the majority of the six numbers and the seventh bonus number contains six of the 10 column numbers and 4 or 5 row numbers. Example : 03-14-18-25-39-40--B-44 or 14-18-25-39-40-41--B-11.
