Back in January I posted a chart about Trips which showed the gaps in days between instances of a trip falling. CLICK HERE to see the original chart and discussion.
TL;DR
The point was, when I originally charted the days between instances of trips, it became clear that we were getting into an unusual situation. I fully expected a trip to fall by March at the very latest. When that didn't happen, I predicted that we would not get a trip in April and that there was a day in May when the gap between trips would be exactly equal to the second largest we have ever seen (251 days) AND there were a trip in the Date workup, the kind of "funny" coincidence that I live for. While I am on the topic of coincidences, I have another coincidence chart for May that I wanted to post before I forget.
This came out of the irrationals number charts and is all about the 04/09/2025,836,369 draw results. My reports program showed something peculiar for 836369. I've done a thousand of these and this one was peculiar. I had a nagging feeling about it, but I had a million other things to think about and put it on the back burner until this morning when yet another coincidence led me back to it.
TL;DR

Last month Twenty$straight gave me an interesting idea which I posted about then. Here is a copy of my post as a reminder,

Your post gave me the idea to see if there has ever been an "clustering" of straight-repeats like the ones I posted about earlier in the Date workup chart. There are only 26 instances of these in the whole history so I was very skeptical, but I had a look and had no trouble finding 3 instances (all from 2002 - 2007) where there was a straight repeat and then a few weeks later there was another. The three gaps in days (not draws) were 13 days, 17 days, and 19 days. Counting on my fingers and toes I see that would be Sunday May 4th, Thursday May 8th, and Saturday May 10th.
Covering the previous draw straight for fifty cents is an inexpensive play that might well be worth a try.
