The top prize for Fantasy 5 is now roughly only $50,000 before taxes. The top prize used to be around $250,000 just a couple of years back. What a joke Fantasy 5 payouts are today.

That'z bcuz, Fla haz alot of People in itz State, thuz moe Lottery Playaz.. so, when Fantasy5 iz won, It'z split btween alot moe winnerz than normally in other States...reducing the para mutual payout...

Plus , it also makez it eazier to win, cauze itz numbaz pool is only 36 , which iz really hard to find elswhere comparatively speakin...az utha State'z Fantasy5'z numbaz pool iz 39, or 42.

Good point about Florida having more people to split the winning money. Makes sense that the prize money went down with it being distributed amongst so many people. I guess the money pool would be better in a place like say Wyoming where there is a much smaller population. :)

Fantasy 5 payouts dropped when they added the F5 midday draw. IMO they should go back to EVE draw only. I've messaged them about that and they don't seem to care.

BTW - F5 payouts not available today 8/16. System failure.

Some of my picks are from The Twilight Zone.

GL to ALL and may the algorithm be with you.

I think there were 2 top winners today (Midday), so I'd expect a payout of about $50,000 for each winning ticket.

I dunno Todd. Hope you're right.

August 16th mid-day Florida Fantasy5 drawing saw two winners of $27,658. And that's BEFORE Federal income taxes.

Sad fact of life here in Florida... too many people living down here now. Traffic is akin to NY's Long Island year round. (used to be that way only during Snowbird season) I've asked many of my former Long Island friends living here now if they think traffic is like it was when they lived on The Island. "Oh my God!" exclaimed one friend. "I thought I was going to get away from that by moving to Florida. No way that happened. Same as The Island."

Most FF5 mid-day drawings these days are in the 50K split among multiple winners range. That's why I only buy tickets for the Evening draw. Bigger puny jackpots! G5

Play Smart! That's IF there is such a thing as playing smartly!!

Yeah, that draw turned out to be a lower prize.

You make a really good point about the added Midday drawing for Fantasy 5.
