Yesterday something unusual happened to me with FF5.
I haven't played FF5 in quite a long time. I can't remember when I might have last played, but it was probably in late September or early October. So yesterday afternoon I decided I was going to buy a $10 ticket for yesterday's Evening drawing.
I keep my eye on the numbers even when I don't play, and what I normally see is repeaters and adjacents happening in many drawings.
I sat down at my computer and started my lottery software so I could use it to pick my numbers. But I didn't have a lot of time, and it has occurred to me in the past that maybe I've been over thinking it when it comes to picking numbers to play. So I decided to pick my numbers differently than I typically do. I shut down my software and wrote down the winning numbers from yesterday's midday drawing on a piece of paper.
I'm a self-picks player. I rarely (if ever) buy a quick pick. But because I had decided to pick my numbers differently, I picked only three numbers in each panel of the bet slip, and let the terminal pick the other two. (That's called a "partial quick pick". You MUST mark the QP box of each game panel where you picked some numbers, or the terminal will reject your bet slip, and the clerk will tell you that you need to pick 5 numbers, not 3. But if you filled in the QP box, the clerk won't even notice that you only picked 3 numbers and will hand you your ticket. Your ticket will have five numbers printed on each line and "QP2" will appear to the right of the line. I picked three numbers, the terminal picked two, so it printed "QP2" on my ticket.)
Using the piece of paper with yesterday's winning midday numbers written on it, in all ten panels of the bet slip, I marked only repeaters and adjacents from yesterday's midday drawing.
I won a single Free Ticket, and each of the other nine lines on my ticket had one winning number. I'd also point out that I had all five winning numbers spread out on the ticket. On the line where I matched two numbers, I had two "one offs". So I came very close to matching four winning numbers with that line. Now I think I really was over-thinking it. I'm going to keep playing like this for a while and see what happens. G5
