Good Morning LP Family!!! So, late last evening I ventured into the dark kitchen as I passed thru with GSD Aris for a potty trip. Turned from the door and something large was moving on the floor. Que requisite waking-the-**** scream. Please be kind - we have spiders here that span the width and length of your hand and they ain't bananas, and you really should hear the mama opossum in the heat vent story, among others. Anyway, upon further investigation with the light on, it became clear that a frog (no details, no shoes) had obtained entry into my humble home. Full stop. I know things outside come in - lots of woods, water, here, BUT - most outtie critters stay out because there are, as of last count, 4 human legs and about 40 other legs in our house. One GSD and a whole lotta feline energy newly infused with 4 new kittens and mama. My verbal concern brought instant chaos and, if said frog had relied on stealth, the gig was up. My girl, now outside, hears me in distress and nearly breaks down the door to get back in. Every feline not separated by doors is literally airborn and coming in hot. To the chase, literally: Frog is fine and has been rehomed to out again. Cats have gone back to sleep. Dog is still searching.
Now. I don't know anything about frogs except there seem to be those who consider them good luck. I have not searched, I'd like to be surprised. Any numbers for frog or lucky frog or miraculous escape??? Miraculous because had I not passed thru when I did, said frog would surely have not made it out (one kitty was stalking, apparently already).
