Sudden wealth, no matter how big it is or isn't, has caused more problems than it has ever fixed.

I voted for 10 million, but I don't really know if that's the right amount for me or not. Riches are something I've never had the pleasure of enjoying and I have zero experience managing large sums of money, so I'll badly need lawyers as well as other finance pros if I'm ever so lucky.

Other than Send lawyers, guns and money, that's the best answer I could possibly tell you. G5

Not sure of what the exact amount is but it sure seems that multi millions (if known about) would have relatives, especially the ones you didn't know about, neighbors and people you've ever said hello to hitting you up.

I go for "the more the better" because relatives, friends, and worthy causes are not a problem to me but instead they are part of my plan. Of course I would splurge a little bit on me and my wife first, but we are not going to be around for too many more years and really don't *need* very much.

Worthy causes (especially for kids) would certainly receive funding from a solid charitable trust, foundation or some other method for a long time.

I won't be giving away mansions and luxury cars to everyone but I would help out relatives and some friends by "assisting" them kind of like "Whatever money you earn I will add X percent to it" (up to an earning and/or percent cap) by the same methodology. I have had a few times in my life that even a little something extra would have helped a lot, and I do believe in helping those who are willing to help themselves.

These are the reasons I would need a big win so the payments would come out of the interest while the principal amount remains and grows.

Google 50 worst charities. You'll know which ones to stay away from. You'd be surprised.

List Pick 3 singles by low sums, high sums. Separate each sum row by consecutive pair and non consecutive pair combos. These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

I have always thought of myself as someone that does not need a lot of money.

But, when you lay out the options like this, then I struggle to pass on the 500 million and settle for 1 million.

I say this knowing very well that I would be super happy if I matched five numbers and won 1M on PB.

However with the options given and my ability to manage the money (or so I think) I will have to go with "the more the better" option.

I believe I would impact way more people when I have more 🤣🤣

If I hit 3 5 white balls, I will never work again. Then again I am getting bakeries and their best products. hitting lottery would be going after more companies with the decent stock options.

Agreed. I voted $10 million, too. Seems like a good round number. I'd like to be able to go out in public without thinking I was being stalked. Two of my immediate neighbors are worth well over $10 million and they go out in public all the time, so I think $10 million's my safe target.

All that and a Warren Zevon reference on a Friday morning. Does it get any better than that?

That is exactly my thinking as well. $10 million. That would allow me to start a small charitable foundation as well and donate to my causes of choice or let them apply for grants.

No doubt you'd have to take steps to protect yourself and your family should you win 10 million. In Florida, players that won $250,000 or more can claim anonymously for 90 days but after 90 days has elapsed your name becomes part of the public record.

Various Florida lawyers websites I've seen explain how to take further legal steps to protect your identity. For me, those steps would be an absolute must. G5

There really are no viable ways to protect your identity after your name is published in Florida after 90 days. Unless you are choosing to change your name which is foolish since your new name could be easily figured out by monitoring family members. Be careful of promises on any website. Creating an llc is not going to help you after your full name is out there.

IMHO, Age would also play a part in the decision. At 20-25, I probably would have looked at $100M so I could have shared with many family members that were alive. For me, right now it would be $5-6 Million, is all I need. Since that was not an option, I went with the $10M figure.

Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.
