I was talking with a retired college professor the other day and we got into the subejct of the lottery. When he told me that he's never played the lottery, I asked him, "So you're too smart to play the lottery?"

He smiled and said, "You can't lose if you don't play."

I then pulled a dollar out of my wallet and said, "Well i'm going to go lose this money."

He then said the smartest thing of all when he replied, "If you win remember me."

Of course, I didn't win, as I haven't won in two years.

Just another loss among losers for me.

You always hear, "You can't win if you don't play", well there's some who say, "You can't lose if you don't play."

Another viewpoint of the lottery.

Personally, I intend to keep playing the lottery, but his statement, "You can't lose if you don't play", was profound.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

List Pick 3 singles by low sums, high sums. Separate each sum row by consecutive pair and non consecutive pair combos. These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

For me the entertainment value of playing the lottery is that I may win some serious cash or not win.

My focus is on the prize as such I don't focus on the input, aka, my money for buying the ticket, as a loss.

When one goes to watch their favorite NFL or NBA or whatever sports team play, the outcome is mostly a win for one of the playing teams.

If your team does not win, I don't think anyone says that they lost the money that they paid for the entrance ticket.

My thoughts.

I believe winning the lottery jackpot is a 💯 % factor of luck.

May Fortuna, goddess of chance or lot vindicate me.

Yin and Yang. You can't lose if you don't play and you can't win if you don't play. The lottery only gives back 50% to the players, and most of that goes to the very small percentage of people who win the very big prizes. Other than the extremely rare situations, such as the MA Win Fall game, if you're anything close to statistically normal you're going to lose at least 70% of the money you bet, so it's stupid to play the lottery.

I'm only a little bit stupid, so I only play when the jackpot is fairly big.
