  Although Connecticut and New Jersey are relatively close to each other, the Hudson River is a major obstacle. I live EAST of the river, so, it's much more convienent for me to drive to CT than NJ. In fact, while Massachusetts is farther from me than NJ, it's a reasonable alternative when the Big Game is BIG.
