Hi Forum Members:
I want to thank all of you for your prayers and get well posts. Tony read them all to me when I was recuperating and it sure made me feel good. Tony's trying to talk me into posting numbers again but I'm not sure if I will or not - I'm thinking about it. He said it would be good for me to get my mind off my eye problems. He nicknamed me "bubble eye" over the last week - maybe I'll post as bubble eye - what do you all think of that?
I still have about 6 months of recovery to go but at least now I don't have to be in a bent, head down position all the time. Some days I thought I couldn't do it again but Tony was right there cheering me on and saying I could do this and he got the heating pad and tried to make me feel as comfortable as he could. He sure was a good nurse for me!
My sight should be back to normal within 2-4 months and I shouldn't be seeing the small dots and the gas bubble anymore after that time. I have to go back to the regular eye doctor to get my eyes checked for glasses because my sight will probably change quite a bit. But I can't go back too soon because if I get a cataract in that eye, I will have to have another operation (not quite as bad as the first) and they will replace the lens which might mean I won't need glasses. That's why they say it could be 6 months before I'll be back to normal.
Well, I have to go now so I can rest my "bubble" but don't worry about Tony not posting his numbers on time anymore because I'll make sure he doesn't let you guys down. He was so busy with me the last couple of weeks, he wasn't able to post like he always did.
Thanks again for all your good wishes and maybe I'll be back on the board soon.
