Hi Folks
Guess you may be looking for some new blood here to maybe contribute some ideas. Maybe I can share some of the observations I have made.
I live in New York, so the game I play is the Take 5 (3/39) drawing. I have been keeping track of this game for the last 10 years. My database of winning combinations is just short of 1500 winners.
RJOH, I was looking at your 10/28/02 post with the list of 269 combinations, concentrating on non repeat of a 3 number duplication. Your rate of return was no better than the expected odds for the game. You made the statement that playing more combinations does not increase your odds. This is very true, but I have the opinion that playing more combinations REDUCES your odds.
Of course it is unreasonable to play 269 combinations each day, I first use a better way. In the NY lottery the same winning combination has only duplicated 2 times in almost 1500 draws. (last one by the way was 11/11 by the way) Therefore any combination I select is checked against this database to ensure it is not a duplicate from the past. This is the same as playing 1500 combinations that I exclude.
Glad to be on board, hope I can give you guys some ideas and I can get some.
