I have been trying to figure out a good number for this weeks lottery drawing. I found some new tips I could use, in order for me to chose the right numbers. However, I am having difficulty figuring out what they are trying to say. This is what it says to do

GAMES SKIPPED TIPS
List the number of games skipped (games out) since the last hit (win) for each of the winning numbers during the last five games. Then mark the number of times each skip occurred. If any skip from 0 to 5 did not occur, play the Lotto numbers that are out that many games.

SUM TIPS - PLAY A BALANCED GAME
After you choose five numbers you want to play, add them together and make sure that the sum of the five numbers adds up to somewhere between 98 and 167. Sums that fall within that range will account for over 70 percent of all jackpots won.

REPEAT HITS TIPS
In the 6/52 Mega Millions, on average, one number will repeat from the last drawing about every other drawing, or 42 percent of the time

These are the lottery Numbers in Michigan since January 1st of this year til now.

06 14 28 37 46 03
15 16 28 34 51 33
07 17 18 34 50 18
30 39 41 47 52 27
25 26 38 42 46 27
04 41 48 50 51 23
16 31 37 40 41 05
13 24 26 32 47 34
01 08 09 19 22 21
05 12 16 22 24 48
03 09 20 26 27 50
18 20 23 48 49 10
11 13 19 32 47 21
12 22 29 42 50 11
21 28 29 40 51 20
02 04 06 37 47 38

And thes are for the last 5 Games :

18 20 23 48 49 10
11 13 19 32 47 21
12 22 29 42 50 11

Kristin,

Go to www.gailhoward.com-- she might explain things there.

All of the above in your post is explained in her book, "Lottery Master Guide". Go to Amazon.com and look it up and you can read some of the excerpted pages. Her software does the above for you.

Let me know how you make out.

To Kristin,

Sounds like you have collected enough data to start to get a feel for the numbers you want to play.  I have all 82 drawings in my database and it shows  the ave. sum =136 (58-212), ave. range =36 (13-50), and the ave. gap =9 (1-41).  Seldom has a number matched three of more numbers in the past drawings so far and it has matched two an aveage of five times(1-11).  You should analize your data and pick numbers within the parameters of your data.  I usually run some simulations to improve my methods of picking numbers but with simulations I am free to pick more numbers than I can afford to play so the winning percentage is better.  These are not tips but observations.  When you have the history of the drawings, you have all the information you need.  Good luck to you.

Kristen: When WINFALL began, you should have discarded the "Michigan Millions" numbers. WINFALL doesn't have 50 or 51.
