    Win D,

The term sounds good, but in my opinion it still does not fit. I see a "core" as a small  but important integral part of something. In all boxed numbers the "single boxed" numbers are the largest group. 120 versus 90 doubles and 10 triples.

That's right, everett, it does sound good! That's why we chose it. It sounds good and it's easy to remember. It seemed to fit the definition of "core" because it is a small but integral part of the 720 "single boxed " numbers which are the largest group. Just as these are distinguished from the 270 (3-way) doubles and their 270 corresponding "swing numbers" ...just as the 10 (1-way) doubles are distinguished as Triples.

This was just an attempt to help forum members achieve some sort of common language, a lottery shorthand on which we could all agree.   We welcome any advice from a professional who could supply critique and alternative terminology at the same time.

        Win D,

I assume when you speak of Core Numbers you are talking about pick3 combinations only.  Since all the numbers 0-9 are included, would Core Combinations be a better description?  Just a thought.
