  Texas Governor Rick Perry signed the bill authorizing Powerball in Texas.  The TLC will have a news conference on it this afternoon.

  You are correct, it is authorization to join a multi-jurisdictional game, which many people incorrect term "Powerball".  I for one hope TX joins MM, which is the game of choice for states with big populations.

  Well much to Todd's chagrin, I'd say PB is the better game. Mainly because of the Power Play feature (for $1 extra you can multiply your winnings by either 2, 3, 4, or 5). So for $2 it's possible to get $35 for matching 3 white or 2 white + PB.

  You got one number right "39" which was better than I did.

  Message to Todd:

  I can see both sides of the PB/MM issue.  If we take MM, then we can draw people from Eastern NM and Western Oklahoma.  We can always drive to San Jon to play Powerball which becomes a community dvent here in Amarillo when the stakes are high.  It really doesn't matter which one we choose, the odds are still astronomical.

  Hopefully the inclusion of a multi-state game will encourage TLC to make Texas games easier to win..... I can dream can't I? LOL!

  Well, I think it would *naturally* become a smaller JP..... more Texans would place their dollar on Powerball rather than TX Lotto. As for the TLC changing the game again, I'm sure they will within 5 years anyway. They've had 3 different *pick 6* games within the 5 years I've lived here.
