How are the Daily 3, Fantasy 5 and Daily Derby draws conducted?

Daily 3, Fantasy 5 and Daily Derby draws are conducted using an Automated Draw Machine.

What is an Automated Draw Machine?

What is the Automated Draw Machine? The Automated Draw Machine is a state-of-the-art computer used to draw winning numbers for Fantasy 5, Daily 3 and Daily Derby. The Automated Draw Machine is a stand alone computer, which means it isn't connected to any other computer system. It looks like a desktop computer. The computer's hard drive cannot be opened without breaking a numbered security seal. Inside the computer, the programs that generate the random numbers are permanently implanted or "burned in" and cannot be altered. You could compare it to trying to alter the information on a compact disk. Tampering in any way with the system, without detection, is not possible.

The California Lottery has purchased three separate Automated Draw Machines, two are used for the daily draws and the third one is used as an off-site backup in the dvent of an emergency. Each day before the draw, a manual capsule draw is conducted to determine which draw device will be used, A or B. Another manual capsule draw is conducted to determine which randomization method is used, one being a mathematical algorithm and the other being a Random Number Generator. The numbers selected from either method are unpredictable and selected in an unbiased manner.

Given this information should I track Mid-Day and Evening Seperate or together? Currently doing all three. Tracking by boxed pairs, Positional Single Digits and Boxed sets ie. triples, consecutives 012, and non-consecutives 369? The picture is not clear at all. ANY ADVISE IS WELCOME.

Looks to me like they made it complicated in California.
use at random two draw machines plus one backup. obviously each programmed differently.
Then you have two randomization methods for each draw machine.

I would track the game as a continuous draw data. You really do not know which method of drawing they are going to use.

        Divine disorder

We know that randomness is a vital commodity, particularly in the areas of cryptography, experimental science and computing. we have also seen that randomness plays a significant role in our relaxation, be it art, sport or music.

Unfortunately though, pure randomness is extremely difficult and costly to generate...a lot more difficult and costly than one could ever imagine!  The fact that maintaining perfect order is difficult surprises no one, but it comes as something of a revelation to discover that perfect disorder is almost beyond our reach. If a calculation calls for the millionth prime number or the cube root of 2, you can set the computational machinery in motion without ever leaving  "mathland". The one exception is randomness. When a calculation asks for a random number, no mathematical apparatus or human brain can supply it. Thus there is no alternative but to reach outside the mathematical... into the grubby world of noisy circuits and decaying nuclei. Radioactive elements decay..... at an unpredictable rate, and could be used as the key. California doesn't use this sort of key. Someone made that key. Someone knows.
