My theory:  If a 17 yr old high school cannot buy lotto tickets, should an elderly person (might be senile) be able to buy one too?  Should the state put a law on maximum age?

That would kind of like be saying everyone at a certain age is incompetent. What if you were 80? Hell, if I reach that age I hope I am still plying the games. AND people do seem to be living longer these days.  And Social Security seems to be looking might bleak in the future. Let everyone over eighteen have the right to buy tickets.

Interesting Topic personally I think they should keep it at 18 since this age enables Military service and legally buying tobacco products. No cap is really needed after 18 if your 100 and want to buy Lottery tickets more power to you being senile or whatever doesn't affect purchasing quick-picks.The only true concern as far as eldery is "Driving" that would be the only thing that could have an age limit, your motor skills and sight

are in question when you start reaching 70's and up.

Personally, I don't think there will be a day when a retailer states: "May I see your ID?" to an elderly.

As far as driving, I agree there should be maximum age limits.

          AIG:

Anyone who prefers annuity is either TOO YOUNG or TOO OLD to buy tickets.
