Intuition and the Fiddle-farter: A Tale of Woe
Yesterday, somewhere between noon and 1 pm, I had just left off
working with my new Gail Howard, "Advantage Plus" software, deciding that I wouldn't play Fantasy Five that night, and was sitting around deciding what to do for the rest of the day. When suddenly, into my head popped "TTT". I ignored it. Then it came again, "TTT"; I had no doubt it referred to Sedertrees's "Spike and Trough" theory/system. "Well", I wondered, "how long has it been since a TTT fell in California?"
So I consulted my records, hmmm, 6/19, not a terribly long time as that pesky little six percenter goes, but still...
So I went and wheeled those four numbers into four combinations and decided to play them "boxed".
Then I thought, "They might come up as doubles." So I looked at the twelve double combos; sums, roots, odd/evens, selected four of them, and decided to play them straight/boxed. Marked my playslips, two advance plays, which would have been the evening and next mornings' draws. A total investment of $16.
Long about 4 pm, I "put on m'shoes", and moseyed-on-up to my local lottery retailer, (liquor store guy), thinking along the way that the numbers might have fallen in the mid-day draw, and I'd better ask first.
Well, you guessed it, he handed me the print-out, "901", I could-a spit feathers! I had it boxed "019", and boxed payed $74.
I was p*ssed, or maybe I decided to punish my self for procrastinating, so I played those eight combo's anyway, although unlikely that a TTT would hit twice in a row, (I've seen stranger things happen), but only for the evening draw, not for the advance play.
What was the evening draw?...a big fat "873", TSS.
Now this is interesting to me for several reasons; one, I almost never play P3, two, the thought came to me before the mid-day draw so I couldn't have subliminally heard the results from somewhere, and three, it didn't come to me as a number, but as a hint of what numbers to play. TTT, 0189.
If I hadn't fiddle-farted around, if I had just put on m'shoes and went and played those four combo's, I would have been $70 in the black, instead of $8 in the red.
You can be sure, next time intuition talks to me, (and I do say next, not "if") I'll get my little butt in gear and walk up even without my shoes!
You can also be sure if those numbers come up today, I'll spit the whole chicken.
Thanks for listening to my little Tale of Woe.
Any other stories of amazing/confounding intuition? I'd love to hear them...
Best of Luck,
Ellie
