With North Dakota planning to sell "Hot Lotto", I asked the DC Lottery again if they were considering it. They said a decision will be made in the 2004 fiscal year (10/1/2003-9/30/2004).

If you live in the DC area, or would like to see Hot Lotto further expand, visit the DC Lottery website.

If there is no Hot Lotto jackpot winner 8/6, the record (31) for consecutive Hot Lotto rollovers will be broken.

But not the jackpot record, right?

                  smd:

If you mean the highest HL jackpot, it was   $3.6 million.

HL needs a few 100k rollovers; there probably won't be many until North Dakota joins.

                    $2.6 million for Saturday, 8/9.

32 consecutive rollovers; new record for HL.

Since California is a MUSL member, somebody hoping to replace Gray Davis should make CA joining Hot Lotto a campaign pledge.

Probably the biggest reason I want to see Hot Lotto do well is to put pressure on Massachusetts (which borders New Hampshire) to allow all big winners to collect in lump sum.
