Today I picked up a copy of Lotto People magazine. Interesting article on Patricia Frierson; who won the Ca SuperLotto August 9. Thought I would share a little of the info; as we often wonder if they took the cash and if it was qps or their own numbers.
She was a 55 year old widow living in a motel. She was actually waiting for escrow to close on her new town house. Worked 23 years in a chemical processing plant.
Using a combination of the same numbers she always bets; she bought five plays- one each in five different stores. She had five winning tickets worth $15, $51, $5115,667, and $91,000,000.
Winning numbers were 12,19,22,31,34,mega number 7. The 12 is her daughter's birthday, the 19 is her birthday, the 22 was the day they buried her grandson and the 31 was the day her husband died, the 34 was a very good year, and the 7 was for the month of July.
And she took the payments. 26 years.
One very lucky lady. I really enjoy reading the stories. I am not sure how much of this info was in the news story Todd put out; but thought I would go ahead and share.
I did enjoy the part where she went to work on Sunday to be alone. Still in shock, she told her supervisor and decided to take an "emergency vacation". She went home in a limousine.
