i know the formula they use and the store i worked at used a software they used to scan the scratchoff pack and the lotto machine told them how much the pay-off would be on each pack.......before they placed it under the glass for customers. if it was paying off big, it wouldnt make it to the public. they would buy the pack for themselves.

Wow lotto retailers showing initiative......good on them.

Proves that scratchies have always been a waste of time.

but the tickets do have to be activated first, right?

Technically, there is not usually a ban on retailers playing lottery games... but this sounds different...

My grandparents called them rip-offs, apparently for good reason!

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

at that time, you couldnt tell which individual ticket held a "hightier" prize . only the complete pack. and yes, it not only had to be activated, the managers social security number had to be used to get to that stage of the menu screen. from there you would activate pack/then check pack value/then confirm activation with re-entering the managers social security number.

can any of this help with winning any of the lottery games??????

we keep jumping between scratch off tickets. and lottery games.

MY real interest is mm  or  6/49, but would also be interested in any othe games if possible to win .

if you can put it together for the big jp    great.

While this was happening at the store you worked at, it probabally does NOT happen at every retailers who sells scratch offs. First off, if the Lottery commision knew about those dishonest practices they'd probabally revoke that retailers privilage to sell tickets. Maybe even involve the feds as a kind of fraud? I'm not clear enough on the laws, but I can discern that your bosses were doing something dishonest. & not everyone is a dishonest person.

Besides, if EVERY retailer was running this scam then the only people winning big scratch off prizes would be the lottery retailers. Don't you think it raises a flag when the retailers are the only winners?

                      john, .....i mean equifax,

looks like you weren't paying close attention when you responded.  you responded in your alter-ego (john ritter) and blew your cover.  now you confirmed my suspicions about who you really were.  did some cross checking on your equifax/johnritter posts and believed them to be the same person.  my nose can usually smell when somethings askew. did you really think that you could come in here and play this game with us?

if you have something to say, just use your equifax name.  with your attitude and your condescension, you already have a hole from which to dig out of.  and you won't get away with talking trash to people in here.  thats a no-no my new "friend"
