I was reading my local paper this morning and found this Full Page Ad:
FREE: NATIOANL RESEARCH PROJECT OPEN TO ALL SKEPTICAL LOTTERY PLAYERS
LOTTERY PLAYERS: "Here's how to win up to $250,000.00 (and even much more) within 2 months"
It is a full 3 column question and answer page and on one side is a questionare to fill out and mail if you are interested.
To participate in the National Research Project financed be the National Parapsychology Center.
Mail ASAP to:
The National Parapsychology Center
Morristown, NJ 07960
Some of the questions are personal:
For example:
1. do you have financial problems??
2. how much money do you need??
3. Your Name address, age, Place of Birth etc.
4. Your signature??
Has anyone ever seen this article in your local papers??
I think Todd is from New Jersey. I was wondering if anyone else came across such an article.

Paying for a full page ad in a local paper is not chicken feed.
I was just curious especially New Jersey players since this address is in Morristown, New Jersey.

I've gotten similar forms from loan companies trying to convince me to refinance my debt with them, but they don't care if you are a lottery player or not as long you can afford to send in monthly payments. This group probably figure lottery players are making monthly payments to state and getting nothing, might as well make them to their center and get nothing, the $250,000.00 is just to get the attention of the gullible.

* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

Anything like this is a total scam. Do not ever, for one minute, believe that anyone can promise you a win.
People who put this out are trying to separate gullible people from their money. It is probably quite lucrative. I hope Lottery Post members are street-smart enough to avoid this stuff like the plague.

Another day another city!! More people scammed!!

There has been alot of lottery scam going on. People are getting letters in the mail they won the lottery and to send money so you can get your money.
Also I read where foreigns where outside a Wal-Mart and stopped a 76 year old man and said they where on the phone with thier lawyer about their winnings. They could not cash the ticket because they are not a citizen so could he go to the bank and get them part of the money and he could have the winning ticket and claim it. The 76 year old man went to the bank and took out 8,000.00 and gave it to them.
It is asham how people play on the older people in this world.

Couldn't reach the link - message is gone. Did a search on national parapsychology center (no caps used in literature) - has been in business (?!) since at least 1998 operating a scam in Arkansas from a Canadian address. Associated with fortunetelling, witchcraft and associated arts. Woman may also be known as Maria Duval ( face=Comic Sans MS">http://www.mariaduval.com). At your own risk, please.

I have come across an almost identical advert to the one posted in a National newspaper here in the UK. This one is based out of the Netherlands but asks all the same questions. I agree that it does sound like a scam...only they don't ask for money (apparently it is completely free) which is unusual.
