Fifty days ago on 10/21/03 I posted a review of
MasterMind-3.  What if we played those 50 days?

The instructions recommend 20 to 30 past draws so I
entered the FL draws from 10/01/03 through 10/20/03.

320
711
955
726
968
316
025

505
893
886
506
418

502
069

If you have even one use left on the trial version
or own a copy feel free to follow along. You can copy
and Ctrl-V paste the history column into the A Wheel.

When the past draw count reached 30 I went back and
deleated the oldest 10 draws, this way the draw history
builds from 20 to 30 then starts over again at 20.

I used the A Wheel because it was first.  Settings
checked HHH, HHL, HLL, LLL, OOO, OOE, OEE, EEE, Singles.

Total expense at a dollar a number was $2,248.00

If played Straight only 5 x $500.00 = $2,500.00

If played Str/box 5 x $290.00 = $1,450.00 plus
13 x $40.00 ($520.00) = $1,970.00

Playing Straight only for the last 50 draws shows a
profit while playing Straight/Box shows a small loss
one more S/box win would return to break even.

Considering the lottery returns fifty cents on the
dollar, the lottery expects an expense of $2,248.
to return $1,124. or less to you.  For any software
to beat the lottery's expectation over an extended
length of play is remarkable.

Looking at the wins, leaving in the higher odds plays
of HHH, LLL, OOO, EEE, made sense as did leaving out
Doubles.  I checked some, but not all doubles and did
not find winners, but plays required went up a third.

Frankly, MasterMind-3 is the only software I've tried
to date that did this well, all the others lost money
big time.  If you know of any others that consistantly
won for their users often enough to show a profit I'm
sure we'd all like to know about it.

Until such time as a better Pick-3 software comes to light,
it might be worth working with MasterMind-3 looking for ways
to safely reduce the playing expense without costing wins
as the potential to earn money is clearly there in the form
of wins. Any ideas?

BobP

If you haven't already tried MasterMind-3 you can get a free
ten use trial here.  Each use is good for as long as you keep
the software open, so you can go back 50 or 100 days and
see how you would have done.

Bob, with your calculations, how many numbers would you have played each night? I noticed Mastermind spits out a bunch of numbers, around 60. I downloaded it months ago but couldn't decide which way to go, either A or B. Either way I went it was going to spit out a bunch if I included doubles.

I put the number of picks/plays suggested in each line

      12/09 135  531  box 44 30/1 the 44 would be the number
of single plays, double would bring the figure into the 70's.

Yes it's a bunch of numbers and a big risk for someone who
needs to watch every dollar.  The thing is there are wins in
there you don't find with other software no matter how big
a bunch of numbers predicted.  So we have a foundation to
build upon, how many ways can we pull numbers out without
pulling out a win?  The simple filter stuff is either already in
there and not helping or I tried only playing the numbers that
contained a digit or two from the previous draw, reduced the
plays by about ten and cost me some wins, worked out about
      the same.  BobP

            Bob,

Thanks for keeping us posted on Mastermind.  It is an EXCELLENT system that I webmaster LeRoy use in IL and have won frequently with it.

For those who are still watching on the sidelines it would held to eliminate some of the combinations if you knew what your game was doing on any given day . . . For example if doubles were due because the last 3 to 4 games have been single numbers then eliminate the singles and the triples and you will only receive the double selections.

Also, DOUBLES pay MORE than the singles numbers. Just a lottery tip from a professional system player.

Don't any numbers sell out in your state? It's hell trying to get 11x or x11 if you aren't up early in the morning in NY!

And seeing how many people won on 777 recently -- rather, how *few* -- it makes me wonder just how many people NYS Lottery *allow* to buy a number before they declare it Sold Out. The number of 77x and x77 winners was suspiciously tiny.

I don't know.  Why don't you visit the New York Lottery website and use their question form and ask them.  You might get a weird reply, then again you might get the truth to repost here.  BobP

111 sells out in SC often!!!!  I asked  about it and was told that after a number reaches a max of 1 million dollars payout the number will be sold out.  I wa told of this by a store clerk so I don't know how valid the info. is. A million sounds like a really high margin to me.  Very interesting-
