  The weakening dollars is music to the ears of anyone playing El Gordo in the big drawing next week!

  Every time the dollar goes down (relative to the Euro), the prize you'll get (in US$) gets larger.

  For example, in July the exchange rate was about 1.15 US Dollars for every Euro.  If your prize was 1000 Euros, you would therefore receive $1,150.

  Currently the exchange rate is 1.24 US Dollars for every Euro.  The same 1000 Euro prize is worth $1,240 - almost $100 more!  Imagine if you won a top prize (in millions) - it would be hundreds of thousands more...

  The El Gordo online site is cutting off their sales tomorrow at midnight...

  I heard there will be a game involving Britain, France (& Spain?), that would take in the British pound as well as the euro.
