Can anyone tell me how to import lottery history to excel?

Depends on the format of the information presented. If it's in a table, it's relatively easy. Just follow the instructions for downloading data from a table in Help. If it's in text form it may require manipulation in a text file editor and possible conversion into a comma separated value (.csv) file.

If you haven't sorted it out yet tell us where you're taking the History from (Web Page whatever) and I'm sure there are many here who will step you through.
Realise this there is no one who is seriously involved with Computers who hasn't done something which took them hours and which they now do in a few minutes.
Realise this as well if you can read a Cook Book and write out a recipe for a friend then you know how to program. All you need to do is learn the language you want to program in.

Actually, since Colin is from Australia, it may well be "realise" for him - not sure if they spell like UK English down under.

You're very welcome and thank you for your thank you. The boys in this forum get a bit rowdy now and then but don't you be intimidated by them anyway, they add to the colour (spelt the Ozzy way) of this forum. You only have to read what Pick-4 Master says (always a good read) to see she has to pull them in line now and then.

Ask whatever you like thankfully, no one is quoting their credentials here - so you could be getting a reply from anyone including a 10 year old kid who lives around the corner and is keen to apply his recently acquired expertise.

From what I can gather Excel is a popular choice here and will serve you well until you get into the more advanced stuff; I use Access myself and if you're just starting out I would recommend you change to that - there are various reasons (prejudice among them) but I think in any field getting the "big picture" is important and in the long term Access will serve you better there. The cooking allusion was probably prompted by a recent book I purchased Access Cookbook from OReilly by Ken Getz, Paul Litwin & Andy Baron which I can thoroughly recommend. You wont find many idea books written for Excel.

Your right. We tend to follow the UK way. So we say and write the day before the month. However, as you know in code it's written your way and few can say, who write it the other way, that they haven't been caught out over that.

Realise is one of those words that's acceptable spelt both ways. I've learnt to write randomize in code but the "correct" spelling is of course randomise.

michigan is tricky because they limit your query to 1 year of data at a time, so does PA
when I did PA's data I used MS Word as an intermediate step, because PA had the drawings in descening order by date (new to old) and I wanted them the other way.
Step 1. Go back to the first year of michigan daily 3 data
Step 2. Select the entire table on the web page (has the daily 3 logo|date|number on each row)
Step 3. Paste into Word
Step 4. In Word, select the first column (the logo) and delete it (First time, keep the headers Date and Number, do NOT select these in subsequent years)
Step 5. Sort by the date column (Ascending... old on top new on bottom)
Step 6. use the Convert function to convert Table to Text.
Step 7. Save as daily3.txt
Step 8. Open daily3.txt with Notepad
Step 9. Repeat steps 1 thru 6 in word, each time appending the data to the text file until you have 'em all
Step 10. Open excel and import from text file ("daily3.txt") Place it in B1, be sure to use the TAB as the separator. (this way you have column A free for draw number data)
Sorry if it seems confusing, but using this method I was able to sort, save and convert 27 years worth of PA daily number data in under 20 minutes...
