Is there any systems/theories that produce approx. 200-250 picks that could hit one out of four draws(I know dbls. hit 1/4 draws, I'm not looking for anything like that). I'm looking for a system/theory that anyone can plug into their own Pick-3 game and show that it works.(no cost effective, but it works).
After some analysis I will post my results, for I believe that any system/theory should be shared for free and not for a fee. If the system/theory works then you should be able to use it to make money rather than sell to make a profit that uncle sam would be looking for its own cut.

A one dollar ticket pays 500 dollars, if You buy 250 tickets You have to hit, if You don't, the next time you have to hit it to come out even, if You don't, You loose $500.
A system that needs 250 tickets needs to win almost every single time, if not You either come even or loose money.
250 tickets, I don't really know, but it might give You a 25% chance of winning.
For 250 tickets 25% chance is not good, for all the trouble that You will have, only 75% or more would be good enough.
As to a system, most people would not care for any such system or systems.

I do realize that probably won't be effective. Here's my theory. Each system/theory is based against a single set of numbers. e.g. A system/theory would apply to Texas Pick3 DAY draw or Texas Pick3 Night draw to produce 200-250 picks. What if we apply the system/theory to 4 to 6 different sets of numbers and take the common picks of all 4 to 6 sets we will end up with a small(1-10) set of picks to play. Let me further explain where the 4 to 6 sets of numbers come from using Texas Pick3 as the example.
1st set-Day or Night draw(1),2nd set-Day and Night draws conbined(2),3rd set- Monday Day draws only or Monday Night draws only or Tuesday Day draws only or Tuesday Night draws only and so on(3).
We can also use Gap Analysis for each of the sets also.
e.g Texas Pick3 Day

2/26/04 789 2/26/04 908
2/25/04 681 2/25/04 843
2/24/04 848 2/24/04 849
I know this is doable, we just need a system/theory to plug in to make the picks. I use MSAccess database, MSExcel, and Notepad to do to the subsets. Anybody Post your theory and I will apply to Texas Pick3 and post the numbers and see where we end($$$).
We can make Gap set as far back as we need data for the system/theory to work

There are 220 unique numbers, 1000 if you use ALL combinations. I use a table (Excel) of the 220 numbers in 10 columns (0 - 9). Each column represents the least significant digit of the sum of the digits. So, 123 would be in the 5 column, and so would 555. Of course there are 22 numbers in each column. One way to look at the problem is that you have a 1 in 10 chance now of picking the correct number. The problem, of course, is which column of 22 numbers do you play for the next draw?!! I am working on that and have a system that works fairly well in California, but still loses money (playing box which averages about $100 in California).
If you look at my post for ALL states 2/26/04 you will see that I picked the 5 column for today. So far NONE of the states have had a draw that was a sum of 5!
If someone can find a way to pick the correct column at least 1/4 of the time, this system would break even or better.

Just figured it out...my "system" of picking the column is correct 21% of the time in California. Not quite good enough if playing a box. Maybe I can figure out a way to get some straights in there!

It looks like Blackapples' system might be a good one to start with,but I am having trouble understanding it completely. If someone could show how it works of the following numbers 749.

If you want to start with the basics do a search for Win D's posts.
I think sometimes we make picking 3 numbers too complicated.
Once you get the basics down you can get into the good stuff later or develop your own system.
Test it on paper first before you throw the real stuff on it.

I am going to expand the picks from 8 per draw to 21... my theory is a composite system made up of individual subsystems (one pick) that have won over 27 years of the PA lottery...

Using my poor system/theory to generate approx. 500 picks per group(4 groups, Day draws,Day Gap, All draws and All draws Gap) I ended up with a total of 29 picks to play. As you can see if we get a sound theory that proves it can hit we can apply it as shown above and end up with a reasonable set of numbers to play. By the way here are the picks for Texas Pick3 Day draw.
