  obviously the highest success rate will be from the highest type purchased which would undoubtedly be Quick Picks...

  For me lucky picks worked best eg: tag numbers, house numbers. birth dates etc.

  Paper systems such as the 1111 sys. Keyhole numbers, and tracking the past ten draws produced some good results but because of my poor choice selection I only get 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 numbers correct. A little fine tuning and I might be onto something. Will post more if I find the key to my method.

  I don't use software yet.

  And i got some good hits from posters Jap69, Lucky, Larry G, and Bryan

  Better question would be which method wins the most for the amount invested?
  
  Quick Picks certainly win often, but how much is spent on Quick Picks to win each jackpot won by a Quick Pick?  BobP

  I guess that would depend on the individual. But I don't see that any method has the clear advantage. On the average 75% of powerball tickets purchased is a quick pick, 75% of the winners are quick picks. If quick picks had the advantage then the percentage of winners would be higher than the percentage of tickets purchased. As it is, it looks random.

  Wow, I actually agree with you here Thomas.  But WHY do quick picks win/lose more often?  It is because that is the ticket that is most purchased, and most provable that it was purchased that way.

  I think what is starting to show, is that there is not ENOUGH information/evidence that can suggest whether or not systems really DO win.  I think what most lottery players have come to grips with, is that alot of systems just aren't worth the trouble.  They probably feel this way simply because all they hear about is how a quick pick won this, or won that.  And since no one is willing to share their "winning" system, Quick picks will always be the in the top winning spot.

  When I play, I either play quick picks or numbers that were from losing quick picks of previous drawings.  In my opinion, after all the money and time I spent picking numbers, the only really good strategy is to buy a lot of  tickets with randomly selected numbers.  I agree with what visiondude has been saying all along.  If you are meant to win, you are meant to win.  If you are not meant to win, you are not meant to win.  The only difference between my strategy and his is that I wouldn't buy JUST one ticket like he does.

  Smart lottery winners form trust to claim their winnings.  They send an attorney to the lottery headquarters to claim the prize in trust, so that ONLY the name of the trust is revealed.  And they tell NO ONE, especially relatives.

  If you ever win a lottery and you are single, the only person you should ever marry is someone who was truly in love with you BEFORE you won the jackpot!

  People can talk about strategies and gimmicks all they want, but unless your ticket actually matches at least 5 of those 6 balls, you are just another person who tried to win a game yet ultimately failed.
