As for me, It will help. Having dreams every night of winning the lottery. Being unemployed its tough living in a society where success is everything.

It should be pretty clear to all, there is a list of things money can solve, a list of things money can help with, a list of things money can't help with and a list of things money can screw up if you're not careful.

There's nothing wrong with me money can't fix. BobP

            JackpotWanna:

Hang in there, I was unemployed (again) from december 11 '03 to last month... you should keep your options open as to jobs outside of your field of expertise... I am the most highly computer certified machinist on the shop floor now ;-)

Also look outside your immediate area, I have picked up a 45 minute commute each way...

As for a lottery win solving problems... the statistics indicate that a sudden win tends to magnify problems (just look at West Virginia's Jack Whittaker)... most lottery winners soon go broke, I would guess in large part because they have no plan for what to do if they win. I sure know it would solve any problems I have... because outside of finances (due to stints of NAFTA related forced unemployment since 2001), I'm happy with my life in general...

I said no, but it all depends on what one thinks of as problems.  And what constitutes winning.?  Agree with the previous post.  Money doesn't buy happyness, (it may rent it for a short time, though).

I suppose the answer you want to hear is that, IF a sum of money won is great enough such as to cover every expense, and eliminate the necessity of a day job, then what?  There probably would be new problems, (health, loss of loved ones, etc.) that having all the money one could possibly have wouldn't solve.

That is a full time job in itself... I hope you find a good one.

If you're unemployed, how do you find the money to play the lottery.  I'm not criticizing you, but if you don't have a job, shouldn't you not play the lottery and save your money?

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

When times are tight you reduce the amount and how often you play, but you never stop because only when you stop are you a loser for sure.  Actually it's important to a healthy state of mind to have something cooking, a potential way out, open door, etc.  Many of the stories about winners I've read have been out of work players.  Hey, when your luck hits bottom where else can it go?

I think winning the lottery solves some of your current problems, but it also creates alot more new ones.....Good luck to the unemployed,,,( i am about 30 days from becoming one also)

Hey Bob, after all these years of learning and having basically seen it all, do you see luck differently then you did in the beginning?
