Nowadays lotteries are coming up with newer, more creative styles of instant games.  What type is your favorite?

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

Actually bingo, keno, crossword, and a few others are all pretty similar in play.  Match a group of numbers, letters, or symbols, to another groop.  I really like those becasue they take a while to play, and for the extra cost ($2 to $5 ) per ticket, I want to get my money's worth of playing time.  There are also similar games (like Battleship and Fortune  hunter) where like the bingo caller numbers, rub the squares, and get co-ordinates.  (like spread sheet cells) .  Match to the play area grid.  Uncover a picture and win.

Also we had Wheel of fortune, Slingo, and Instant Lotto type games.  (match multiple lucky numbers).  Tht's the general kid I like.  The other's are good ( for $1, don't want to scratch too much; like casino and combo games too.  We had a unique monopoly game that played like the real thing.  Scratch the dice, move around the board.  Get a set.  Or just scratch the board.  Card games are good too.  They're all good.  depends on what mood I'm in to play, and the best is when we win, of course.

But no cheating!  In our state, the winners codes (amount of winnings in parentheses scattered through the serial number in the play area, is easily found along the edges of the play area and removed , takes all the fun out.  Noticed in Md. and WVA, the winners spell out the amount (t-w-o for.$2.

I want to play the game as intended.

i am aware that they are similar to play, but i kept them seperate because there are people who prefer to play crossword games over bingo games.

Yeah, I like them all.  Too bad I only got one vote.  So I put it on Bingo.  Our (Pa.) $5 Bingo game is the best. ( 1 in 2.5  Average Hit rate)

like win for life and set for life, i really see no point in playing bingo or any $2 games that has the jackpot at only $10 g's or $20. I feel other then trying to kill some time, people should stay away from those games due to the logic of winning only $10 g's as to win for life which is over a million for just two dollars. 10's is not going to change your life so why waste $2 on bingo or crossword when you can get a shot at win for life, plus the odd of winning the jackpot of bingo to win for life is about 14:1.

Scratchers that have at least 10 grand or more as the high tier prize. I have won a 9 grand prize and after taxes i was lucky to walk away with 6200. I prefer the big tier scratchers now. Win for life would be great. The only problem with scratchers is they print so many of them that if you do win big on one you were definetly in the right place at the right time. Having tracked where the big hits were, most came from high volume ticket sellers. And not the small voulme sellers. Sure one or two big winners might pop up from time to time is the smaller retail outlets. But most big winners came from places where they sell a couple thousand dollars or more tickets in a few days.

remember that there is more to scratch-off games than winning money.  the lotteries try to add an aspect of fun to them as well, not to mention that they also have some of them designed so that the help pass the time away.

There is only one purpose for scratch off games and that is to generate money for the general fund and stadium authority at least here in Maryland. True some might get pleasure out of scratching a bingo ticket and going whoopee I won two bucks. The Maryland Lottery is a billion and a half dollar a year industry. They are definitely in it for the money and anybody who plays should also be into it too win some of the pie. Whenever i buy a ticket the whole time i'm holding it and clear up to the point i start scratching it i continuosly say to myself this is the winning ticket. I could care less about anything but that. If it's a looser i say to myself wow i just helped to buy another 21 million dollar ball player. I have almost stopped buying scratchers except when they are for big dollar prizes. 30 grand and up

One neat feature on the Pa Lottery web site, is they post how many winners are left. It's not real time but is updated about once a week. I play the games with the most prizes left.

I must admit I'm guilty of the biggest of all scratch off ticket sins. I don't play the game, but just rub the edge to look for winners.

I'm surprised nobody voted for the crossword-style games.

                            Scratch tickets. :)

Might be more worthwhile to play numbers games instead, that way your chances are based on your decisions.

yes, but instant tickets take care of the id, by giving instant gratification.  some people can't wait until the draw time.
