i opted not to sign it.  it's like with power play.  why pay $2 to lose when you can pay $1 to lose and put that other dollar towards something else?

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

That is the Web site that tries to create bad news out of everything.  I do not go there looking for good ideas, only if you want to feel bad about everything.

Saying "no" to the Megaplier is like saying there should be no Pick 4 game, because you happen to dislike that game.

Obviously if Texas is selling so many millions in Megaplier sales, there are a lot of people who like it, so that means that it should continue to be an option.  Furthermore, it means that everyone should have that same option available.

Those who do not want the Megaplier are saying that because they personally don't like it, no one should be able to play it.  That's pretty short-sighted and selfish.  If everyone took that view, then perhaps their favorite game would be shot down by other people who didn't like it.

I suppose that you believe you know best how I should spend my extra $1.

I dont think Todd took it personally.

What does this website (http://www.lottoreport.com/MegaplierSales.htm) tell me that I already didnt know?  If the lotteries were not making money, do you think they would still be running?  If that website tells me anything, it tells me that atleast there are some people out their making money by using the Megaplier that they wouldnt be making otherwise.  Not everyone can win the jackpot.  The point is, some people prefer to spend that extra dollar on a chance to multiply their winnings (because the odds are, they are not going to win the jackpot).

DoctorEw220:  "i opted not to sign it.  it's like with power play.  why pay $2 to lose when you can pay $1 to lose and put that other dollar towards something else?"

Thats your preference.  Some people would like to rather spend the extra $1 that they would spend on a Megaplier on buying another ticket or something else.  AGAIN, the point is FREEDOM TO CHOICE.  Not everyone wants to do this.

I think that everyone should have the freedom of choice we all cherish in this country.  Not everyone thinks alike and thats human nature.

I would like to see the Megaplier available throughout Mega Millions, just like PowerPlay.

My personal preference is to see as much money as possible go cleanly into the prize structure without tricks or gimicks to make it harder to win the jackpot.

If the multiplier prize money comes out of the multiplier charge, then I'm all for it.  If it comes even in part out of the tickets sold prize fund, then it is anti-player.

I would like to see lottery games run for the benefit of state and players both.

Giving all Mega Millions players the Megaplier option is much like giving winners the choice                            of cash v annuity.

I agree, I like the fact that at certain times during the early stages of each jackpot prize cycle I can choose to add Powerplay option to spice things up ...even if I'm playing only one ticket.

... the lottery never fails to surprise!

especially if only playing one ticket... I don't waste the $$$ on more than two lines with powerplay...

it DID however turn $3 into $12 and $15 more than once for me... one time $7 into $35... the only time I matched for $100 I didn't "power it up" because I played a $5 card.

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.
