  While visiting state web sites I see a variety of 5 games. I have recently took interest in figuring tracking methods for this game.
  I was only wondering how many play the 5 games here.

  Numbers are where you find them.

  John, Bonus Match 5 here in Maryland 50,000 tax free dollars for all 5 straight. I am trying to win this game using various methods. Some days I do get a few numbers right. Other days I'm off the mark completely. Number history of the game shows some really exciting possibilities if one could follow the flow of how the numbers hit. Maryland's lottery results show that many people hit on quick picks. However I am trying to hit picking my own numbers. I came real close to hitting 4 out of 5 but changed my numbers around to put it simply I shouldn't have change them. I mostly mix even and odd numbers. All even or all odd has hit before but not often enough for me to play numbers that way.

  how do you select your numbers? do you first reduce the pool of candidates? if so to what size? 

  a lot of algorithm(wheeling ie), is predicated on first selecting the correct pool size. obviously, this pool reduction is of high importance.

  I've got a few ideas for pool reduction and would like to see how it works on maryland.  if you have the pick history of maryland the last three years(given the game is still the same) in a space-delimited text file with dates, i would appreciate. i'd let you know what i come up with in terms of past performance.

  I deselect most of the numbers in the last 5 draws. Sometimes I include 1 number that hit in the previous game. I try and find numbers that are due to hit, numbers that have not hit in the last 10 games. I look at cold numbers to see if they might be the useful I look at the hot numbers to see which ones are hitting the most. Then I make my list. jot numbers down and check to see how many times a particular set of numbers might have hit if the combination of the 5 numbers has hit before. I find other numbers to go with them. If the combination of numbers hasn't hit I weigh the probability of them hitting. Like I wouldn't play 01-22-29-32-38 because 01 and 22 has only hit once before. but 22-29-32 has, so I would find other numbers to go along with them. Also I wouldn't play any set of 5 numbers that have hit before. I have only started playing the match 5 game using different numbers because playing the same numbers every day was getting old. And records show that my personal picks are losers so far to date. In other words they haven't hit for any substantial amount. I don't use lottery software to get the picks but I have and do use online wheels.

  Maryland's Bonus Match 5 began again on 02/04/02 after a long absence when it was reinstated they included a bonus ball which is selected from the same ball set after the first 5 balls are drawn this bonus ball is only beneficial for lower tier prizes. I do not use the bonus ball in any number selection.

  I play PA Cash5 only when the jackpot rolls to $600,000.... about 10 or less times a year (it starts at 100k and is drawn every day...)

  I play Buckeye5, OhioSuperLottoPlus and MegaMillions off and on depending how I feel.  The software I use store information about each lottery in the same file format, (YR-MO-DA-N1-N2-N3-N4-N5-N6-BX),so the history of each lottery can be analyzed the same way.  If something works with one lottery, I can try the same thing with the others.

  I enjoy playing Florida Fantasy 5/36.  Have tried different systems, and have won many 3 of 5.

  90% of my lottery budget goes to play 5/39 Pa Cash 5.

  20-25% of the time I win lower tier prizes which gives me more bang for my buck.
