how are you getting 27 different numbers? as far as I can see, the system generates 9... and they may contain duplicates for you to eliminate...
re-read NBey6's original post... you generate 3 pairs based on numbers NOT appearing in the matrix after it's done, then you add the last winning number to each pair one digit at a time... that's 9...
if you want one in excel already done, just PM me with your state and e-mail address... I already have one for PA and one for VA (per request)
I get 27 by completing the matrix forward and backwards from each corner and then listing
the missing digits, of which there can be three, two or one. I then list each vertical and each
horizontal number and the other diagonal, which gives me 7 new numbers. In addition I use
the missing digits. If it has 3 digits I use it as is. Else I combine the 2-digit with each in the starting diagonal, or I double the 1-digit and combine it with each in the diagonal. I then find that there might be a few duplications and finally have 27 new out of four matrixes.
Pardon my poor writing but I'm not good at computer work. Ordinarily my son would assist me but he will not be back for one or several months. In the meantime I must try to make do on my own.
