  Agree, I think that's what killed the hearts and diamonds game in Pa. years ago.  Some people don't trust computers, but then there was the trip 6 fix of 1980.  I think old Nick should have used a different combination than a triple and he would have gotten away with it.  But even still, watching the balls bounce is real, honest, and more fun.

  On that note, our mid-day daily drawings are computer generated and veiwable only on computer.  Wonder how many people know that or moreover affects their desire to play it.  Of course, when the original lottery first started here in 1972, there was an elaborate drawing process, which amounted to an hour long stage show.  I actually watched the second ever in Pittsburgh, and a few (now retired co workers) I know snuck down at worked and watched the very first drawing in Harrisburg, since they worked iin the same building (Forum on Walnut st.)  But the point is that televised drawings didn't come in until later (and that was in Ohio) so the only way the numbers were known is to visit the ticket sellers, or read the paper.  Radio and TV were not originally allowed to mention that there was a lottery, let alone broadcast results.

  We've come a long way, but were do we go from here.  Although electonic video (computer generated) lottery (OK slots and video poler, keno, etc) are very popular.

  You all got it right, there is less of a chance of any so called Hanky Panky, with the machines than with the computer, not that it can't or is not being done with machines of course, just that there might be less of a chance (Maybe).

  Maybe sometime in the future I might come back as LANTERN again, but maybe not, if I don't come back as LANTERN in the future then I won't come back at all, but as I said there is no more EXCALIBUR.

  Well I certainly wouldn't merge the midday draw data with the evening for working out the evening numbers, they aren't part of the same series or chain of dvents.
  
  I would take the time to send the occasional email requesting real drawings replace the computer draws.  BobP

  I heard that one lottery uses RNG for mid-day draws only.
