There was a story about Las Vegas, its heavy gamblers, and how they must be treated. Now, I am not talking about quarter, dollar, or even $5.00 slot machine gamblers: for reference point, those gamblers who can afford to lose $500,000 or more a night.
The casino focused on one such gambler who stated: "money is power!" Of course, the wheels in my head were turning.
Food for thought:
Do you agree with the gambler that money is power?

My answer: money can be a positive powerful tool: donating to my favorite causes, helping a friend, and investing wisely. However, if I allow the money to consume me with guilt or inward hatred, then it becomes destructive.

Since the gambler was courted by the casino, the best of everything -- his every whim catered to, he was on cloud 9. Although sales people in department stores and other stores generally treat the John Q. public politely (not even knowing if they are rich or not), how will they treat you knowing you are rich or even a lottery winner? I am sure Oprah can answer that one!
