Here's a good question. Since Powerball will run out of lotteries in the US to expand to, do you see Powerball expanding to Canada or another American territory in the future? Please state your reasoning for your vote.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

i could very well see it expanding to canada in the next couple years and that would mean changing the matrix and it could end up being the first game to have a billion dollar jackpot if the jackpot kept building long enough,i could never see it in mexico due to language barriers.........

PB would have to become pari-mutuel due to the different currencies, like EuroMillions.

i think the MUSL wouldn't mind making it pari-mutual.

why would they have to make it pari-mutuel? Prizes from the second tier down are paid by the state.  So if there were different countries in Powerball (or whatever game) the prizes from the second tier down would have to be paid for by the country or state where the winner was, and there would'nt be any currency problems. The only money that goes out of the state is for the jackpot, which is already pari-mutuel.

If they made all prizes pari-mutuel, they would probably get rid of the PowerPlay option too.

i doubt it. oregon has a multiplier option and their prizes are pari-mutuel.

AFAIK Euro Millions is pari-mutuel, with the UK having different lower tier prizes than the other countries.

that's the fundamental problem with that game. residents from englend should just cross the channel and go to france so they have a chance at winning a bigger prize with the same odds. also, how does that work then? are all nations given an equal amount of the prize pool, and they divide that up by each winner from their country?

All Euro Millions countries have the same lower-tier prize structure, but the actual prize amounts are based on sales and number of winners within each country.

I think the UK has a slightly different percentage into the jackpot because of the currency difference.
