    what is "decco" and "perfecto"?

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

My favorite was the PA Super7... would be cool if they brought that one back with a lump sum option...

Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

        Very well thought out.

Quinto was modeled on NJ 5-Card Lotto, which lasted only a couple years. How long has Quinto been played?

            EW:

CA Decco was a pick-4 game using a deck or cards, hence, DECCo

The CO Perfecto games were computerized instant games.

This is a great poll topic.

I voted for New Mexico's 4 This Way, because I love how it changes standard Pick 4 play into a game that pays off greater than 1 in 10 times!  What a great concept, I really hope it catches on in NM.  If they had that game in NJ I would play daily.

i really don't like 4 this way. compared to pick 4 games with standard (half the odds) payouts, it doesn't pay as much. i do understand where you're going though todd. pari-mutuel payouts for pick 3 and pick 4 games are not a good idea.

Dr., I respectfully disagree.  The average Pick 4 player rarely gets any kind of hit, so I think the average 4 This Way player would get more return than the averge Pick 4 player.

Remember, 4 This Way players get a hit better than 1 in 10 times.  If you play 10 tickets, each with a different last digit, you're guaranteed to hit.  Then, you've got a 1 in 10 chance of getting the next prize tier.  See my point?

Plus, combined with your point about pari-mutuel payouts, 4 This Way is better because of its fixed payout amounts.  For example, the payout for my once-a-year Pick 4 box hit could get destroyed if it happens to be a popular number combination.

As long as the game is paying off a guaranteed 50% of what your odds are, it's the best best lottery game any state lottery has to offer to the player.

I wouldn't care for pari-mutuel payoffs either and I think it's a ripoff to the players.  So is the selling out of number combinations after a certain amount of them have been sold.  We spend our dollars to take a losing gamble (50% odds against you before you even place your bet) and yet they can't afford to lose a gamble?  What are they selling us here, fur coats in Hell?

Posted 4/6:  IL Pick 3 midday and evening until they hit:  555, 347 (str8).

i'm with rick. fixed payouts are better than pari-mutuel payouts. todd: perhaps you could lobby the new jersey lottery into changing their pick 3 and pick 4 games into offering fixed payouts.

Decco went online, I think, in 1991. I'm not sure. It ended around 95-96.

Perfecto games began 1/98, and ended that same year.

Well, in NJ's case it's essential considering the always paltry payouts. But MA and CA usually bring out some good payouts, unless it's a popular combo.
