Had a wierd feeling come to mind about Sol.

Some strange event to happen that involves the core.

A massive wave from the inner to the outer.

This sets up a fantastic Solar visual display seen in all spectra.

Watch the Sun.

Had a very unusual flu this past 5 days.

Not like anything we had before.

Started Saturday with all the symptoms something was going to happen: Muscle aches, little tired, chills then hot...

Then Sunday going in to Sunday night, started getting feverish.

The fever would go away, then come back.

I could tell the fever was coming, because I'd get this horrible chilling, freezing feeling; like being in a frozen freezer or out in the cold winter.

My teeth chattering like mad and then a fever of 100-101ºF.

Eventually I had a fever 102.2ºF around 2:00a early Monday morning.

I called in sick that Monday and was taking Tylenol most of that day, on.

Felt better later that Monday, but the feverishness hung on.

Again, hard chills, then fever, but it got less and less each day.

And what felt like a recovery, I'd sweat a little more each day, then gradually tapered off.

Here's unusual part,

I never felt sick to my stomach or wanted to throw up,

very little headache and what there was the Tylenol eliminated completely,

never felt faint or like I was going passout,

when I was not feverish, I felt like as if nothing ever happened,

never felt dizzy or like I couldn't stand up immediately,

never lost my appetite and kept down anything I ate,

the fever came and gone about once every 4-6 hrs and ranged from 100-102ºF.

This is by far the most unusual fever I ever had.

Strange Pick

I had a very strange pick the other day.

I was getting coffee and a strom was rolling in just as I got to the store.

I went in and got a few cups of coffee for me and my son.

I also stopped to get bottles of water for us at the hotel.

As I walked up to the counter and set my stuff down, the lottery terminal just automagically printed a ticket.

I asked the clerk what ls going on.

She said, "oh, that's just a ticket I tried to print a while ago. The storm was blocking the satellite and it finally went though."

Well, knowing this might be a Good RNG moment, I bought the ticket.

We will let you know if it won later.

ALERT! The Great Red Spot Is Distorted

ALERT! THE GREAT RED SPOT IS DISTORTED: Astrophotographer Anthony Wesley of Rubyvale, Australia, has just observed Jupiter's Great Red Spot (GRS) and he reports that the giant storm is "badly distorted."...

It may be the indication planetary weather is controlled by the Sun.

Irradiative power from the Sun reduced by the New Solar Minimum now have effect on other planetary weather systems.

Hmm... 🤔

Pics of the Next Day

Well, we tried to go up the west side of Rocky Mountain National.

However, the road was closed before we could go up to any higher elevations.

But, we did get some nice pictures and some video.

On the way out we stopped by the Berthoud Pass on US 40 to take some pictures.

Here's looking south.

Here's looking north.

Although we were not able to climb the mountain on the west side, we did spot a Mumma Moose and her calf.

Here's a few still shots.

Hi baby.

We stood there a good 30 min waiting for them to come closer.

Here's a video we took.

Traveling along Trail Ridge Road we stopped and captured this picture of the Colorado River and the Never Summer Mountains.

Further up Trail Ridge Road we stopped by Bowen-Baker Trailhead and captured some more pictures.

Here's a still of the Colorado River.

But, we know seeing is one thing, hearing is another.

Below is Video of the Colorado River in Rocky Mountain National Park.

A shot when we were leaving.

And the road where we came; even a road all by itself is beautiful.

Well, we needed to 'get high', the correct way in Colorado.

So, we decided to find a place south of RMN.

The Loveland Pass on US 6 south of I-70.

Below is the initial climb; below you can see I-70 going west.

Here's looking east.

Along the way up there are guard rails.

But, in other places there are not.

Ooo, scary... watch out! Don't slip!

We got high, the right way.

Here's some pics while standing on the Continental Divide looking south.

Uh-ah, time for some gratuitous selfies while standing on the Continental Divide.

One last picture while heading down the south side of the Loveland Pass.

After that it was time to head back.

It was late, but though we could capture some sunset pictures along CO-119 on our way back to Boulder via a Nederland stop by the Baker Meadow Reservoir.

Here's a shot near the Los Lagos Reservoir.

And this is looking west toward Nederland and the Baker Meadow Reservoir.

Oh boy, that was a long day and lots of fun 'Getting High, the Correct Way'.

Pics of the Day

Had lots of fun at Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National.

Penelope's for a quick bite to eat before the climb.

Staple Stop we go to when we are there.

First, stop by the Alluvial Fan to check out the water fall.

Now, to the higher elevations.

The road is closed beyond the Rainbow Curve.

So, from there we walked as far as we could.

Here's a pit stop picture moment.

Looking back where we came.

Moving along... we came across this interesting sign.

Hmm, better stick to the road.

Made it beyond that bend in the picture above.

uh-oh, snow... I think we'll stop here and head back.

On the way back...

Time for a quick selfie... or two.

Walking back as enjoyable as going up.

What's this...

Heading back to the hotel in Longmont, a Rainbow showed us the way back.

Picture does not do show it well.

It was very bright and there was a second rainbow not clearly visible.
