Don’t let socialist horror story play in U.S.

WAYNE ALLYN ROOT
"AS I write this column, just days before New Year’s Eve 2019, we are being bombarded by great news about the U.S. economy under President Donald Trump. It doesn’t get any better than this.
The NASDAQ just hit 11,000 for the first time in history. It’s up are markable 11 days in a row. The Dow and the S&P also hit new highs. We just received fresh confirmation from China that the phase one trade deal is close to being signed.
We also found out that global stock markets — led almost entirely by the U.S. markets —gained $17 trillion in wealth in 2019. The entire world is getting rich because of President Trump and his pro-business, progrowth, low-tax economic policies.
And I really like this headline at CNBC: “Trump stock market rally is far outpacing past U.S. presidents.”
It’s no surprise, then, that, despite impeachment, President Trump is running away with the 2020 election. As James Carville once said, “It’s the economy, stupid.”
The latest poll from YouGov/Economist shows Trump in a landslide. When asked “Who would probably win the 2020 election?” Trump beats Joe Biden by 6 points, Bernie Sanders by 26, Elizabeth Warren by 30 and Mayor Pete by 41 points.
But Venezuela proves it could all change quickly. Venezuela is the canary in a coal mine for the U.S. economy. Venezuela went from the richest country in Latin America to nightmare, tragedy and mass starvation.
If we’re not careful, the tragic downfall could begin right around this time next year. After electing President Sanders or President Warren (or any number of radical, extreme Democrats extolling the virtues of socialism) next year, we could be ushering in an era of socialist suicide. Can you imagine?
Earlier this year, a young man in his 20s named Daniel DiMartino tried to warn us in a USA Today commentary. He was born and raised in Venezuela. He lived his entire life under socialism. But he was blessed to escape to America.
He explained how it happened in Venezuela — with all the same socialist ideas and fantasies being preached by Democrats today. Free everything. Guaranteed jobs for everyone. Welfare galore. Minimum wage hikes. Massive new taxes and regulations. A government takeover of entire industries such as health care. Price controls. Massive money printing.
These were the downfall of Venezuela.
Today, there are few jobs in Venezuela. Most people live in misery. There is rationed electricity. Nonstop blackouts. No running water for days on end. Shortages of diapers and toilet paper. Empty shelves at supermarkets. Four-hour lines to buy toothpaste or flour. Rampant inflation, with prices doubling every two weeks.
DiMartino’s parents earned thousands of dollars per month as professionals in 1999. By 2016, they earned less than $2 per day.
Do you understand that the socialist regime in Venezuela nationalized electricity and water to make them “free”? Now no one has any.
This is where socialism leads. I haven’t even mentioned the banning of free speech and the jailing and torturing of opposition politicians and protesters.
Just like in Venezuela, it won’t happen overnight. But a long, tragic nightmare could begin around this time next year.
Keep that in mind as you celebrate Trump’s booming, roaring, rockin’ economy"
Fun Comments made year 1955! - Times are a Changing ~Dylan
A fun look back at 1955. Except for those of you out there who are whippersnappers or well beyond the age of being whippersnappers, we were all about 12-13 and certainly can remember most of this.
Comments made in the year 1955!
I'll tell you one thing, if things keep going the way they are,
it's going to be impossible to buy a week's groceries for $10.00.
Have you seen the new cars coming out next year? It won't
be long before $2,000.00 will only buy a used one.
If cigarettes keep going up in price, I'm going to quit; 20 cents
a pack is ridiculous.
Did you hear the post office is thinking about charging 7 cents
just to mail a letter.
If they raise the minimum wage to $1.00, nobody will be able to
hire outside help at the store.
When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would
someday cost 25 cents a gallon. Guess we'd be better off leaving
the car in the garage.
I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more. Ever since they
let Clark Gable get by with saying <snip> in GONE WITH THE WIND,
it seems every new movie has either HELL or <snip> in it.
I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put
a man on the moon by the end of the century. They even have some
fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas .
Did you see where some baseball player just signed a contract for
$50,000 a year just to play ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday
they'll be making more than the President.
I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would
be electric. They're even making electric typewriters now.
It's too bad things are so tough nowadays. I see where a few
married women are having to work to make ends meet.
It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire
someone to watch their kids so they can both work.
I'm afraid the Volkswagen car is going to open the door to a
whole lot of foreign business.
Thank goodness I won't live to see the day when the Government takes half our income in taxes. I sometimes wonder if we are electing the best people to government.
The fast food restaurant is convenient for a quick meal,
but I seriously doubt they will ever catch on.
There is no sense going on short trips anymore for a weekend. It
costs nearly $2.00 a night to stay in a hotel.
No one can afford to be sick anymore. At $15.00 a day in
the hospital, it's too rich for my blood.
If they think I'll pay 30 cents for a haircut, forget it.

MEDIA CENTER: Poll findings a harsh critique of media ethics :-(
The Pew Research Center, firmly enPOLsconced inside the liberal establishment, has a new poll that has the organization worried sick (perhaps not as much as the new USA Today/Suffolk University poll that shows President Donald Trump defeating every single Democratic presidential opponent). Pew is concerned and confused about a dramatic difference between Democrats' and Republicans' skepticism about the media.
When asked about the ethical standards of the media, 31% of Republicans said their standards are "very low," and 48% picked "low." Among Democrats, 10% said the media have "very high" ethical standards, and 53% selected "high."
The two parties are going in diametrically opposite directions.
Pew's poll question wasn't specific about the definition of "ethical standards." But we can guess that many people are responding to the media's commitment to objectivity. Are they in the business of reporting, or advancing an agenda?
Democrats are invested in the idea that the media will affirm their beliefs, which makes the media guardians of truth, honor, beauty and anything else they think is Not Trump. Republicans see the media as affirming all the Democrats' beliefs, which undermines any claim to independence.
The already threadbare notion that the press was a nonpartisan and objective referee lost any tether to reality when Trump came down the escalator and declared his presidential campaign. They mocked the implausibility of a President Trump. He soon denounced them as "scum," and they have ardently opposed him and portrayed him as an unhinged buf
Pew researchers also asked if Americans have a great deal or a fair amount of confidence that journalists will "act in the best interests of the public." There's a 46-point gap between Democrats and Republicans on that question, and it jumps to a massive 75-point gap between respondents who say they are highly politically aware and associate with one party. Ninety-one percent of politically aware Democrats are confident the media will act in the public's interest, compared with 16% of politically aware Republicans.
In other words, Democrats and Republicans alike are confident that the media will help the Democrats wage war on Team Trump and achieve their version of a Great Society, with a Green New Deal and "Medicare for All."
That starts with impeaching President Trump and removing him from office. "Facts" will not put the slightest brake on the impeachment wagon. The new report from Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz offers loads of evidence for the strong distaste that Republicans and Trump backers have for the media. They were deeply invested in a false narrative of Trump campaign collusion with the Russian government, spurred on by a wildly unreliable dossier of gossip circulated and funded by Hillary Clinton's campaign. The fake media were openly hostile toward any facts that didn't line up with that narrative, and even now they insist Horowitz's <snip>ing new factual findings are somehow still part of an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory.
No one in the press demonstrated an ethical standard by responding to the Horowitz report with a confession saying they were wrong for having pushed a false narrative and a sleazy dossier. Instead, they expressed shock and disgust that pro-Trump media outlets were still resisting their crusade. How could anyone disagree that Trump must be impeached? They must all be pawns of Russian disinformation specialists."

German original version by Marleen Dietrich:
The left hates The Salvation Army. That's all you need to know about the left.
M

We all know some individuals who are so obviously good and kind that we are certain if anyone were to dislike them, that’s all we would need to know about the person. We would immediately assume he or she is a bad person. To hate the manifestly good is a sure sign of being bad.
Such is the case regarding the left’s hatred of The Salvation Army. You don’t have to be a Christian — I am not — to appreciate the goodness of the people who run and work for The Salvation Army. They devote their lives to helping the poorest, the saddest, the loneliest and the most troubled among us — completely irrespective of race, gender, transgender identity, faith or no faith. And they do it for almost no money. They do it because of their Christian faith.
They provide these downtrodden people with not only food and shelter but also human warmth and love. And they offer the people they care for the one thing most likely to get them out of their predicament: meaning. They offer it; they do not coerce it. And while the vehicle for this meaning — Christian faith — may not be your faith or mine, so what? It takes a truly narrow-minded bigot to want to deprive people of meaning just because that meaning is rooted in faith or in a faith other than their own.
Yet, leftists — most especially LGBTQ groups, which spread a remarkable amount of hate in the name of “love” — seek to crush The Salvation Army. They threaten and pressure whoever supports The Salvation Army. “British pop singer Ellie Goulding,” the Wall Street Journal recently reported, “threatened to cancel an appearance at the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show, which will celebrate the army’s red-kettle campaign, unless it made a ‘pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community.’ She backed down after the Salvation Army assured her it serves needy members of that community.”
Most depressing of all, Chick-fil-A, a business owned by a Christian and heretofore run according to Christian principles, caved in to LGBTQ organizations’ pressure and stopped funding The Salvation Army, while it has also donated to a left-wing group that hates the good, the Southern Poverty Law Center.
I never thought I’d see the day when The Salvation Army would be hated by a substantial number of Americans or lose the support of a Christian-run business.
But given the left’s loathing of virtually all things good — such as America, Israel, traditional Christianity and Judaism, the Boy Scouts, the nuclear family ideal, Thanksgiving and America’s founders — it is not surprising.
As I have said for years, the left destroys everything it touches: music, art, Christianity, Judaism, economies, universities, high schools, late-night comedy, pro football, women’s likelihood of finding happiness, men’s likelihood of maturing, the Boy Scouts and the innocence of children (think “Drag Queen Story Hour” for 5-year-olds at libraries), to cite some of the more obvious examples.
And while it destroys good institutions, the left never builds a viable replacement. Is there a left-wing equivalent to the Boy Scouts, a left-wing institution that helps mold boys into responsible men? Of course not. The left destroys, but it builds nothing — except state power. Or, to take the present example, is there a left-wing equivalent to The Salvation Army? No, there isn’t.
“We believe we are the largest provider of poverty relief to the LGBTQ+ population,” The Salvation Army said in a statement after Chick-fil-A announced its decision. As the Wall Street Journal concluded, “Considering it serves nearly 25 million people every year, that’s likely true.”
But all the good The Salvation Army does means nothing to the left. The left judges people or institutions not by their behavior but by their beliefs. And The Salvation Army believes — as has every civilization in recorded history, and as former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did until a few years ago — that marriage should be defined as the union of a man and a woman. To the left, that belief outweighs helping 25 million people including married gays.
One of the great puzzles in contemporary American life is whether there is anything the left could do to make Americans understand how destructive it is. If suppressing free speech at colleges and on the internet, fomenting interracial anger, supporting those who wish to annihilate Israel, allowing (and even encouraging) teenage girls to have their healthy breasts surgically removed if they think they are a boy and trying to crush The Salvation Army don’t do it, probably nothing will.

REPORT: Why the left doesn't like Christmas by Dennis Prager
Many on the left (as opposed to liberals) have been warring on Christmas for more than a generation. Leftists always deny there is a war on Christmas and mock those who claim there is.
There is a mind-blowing chutzpah or lack of self-awareness when people do something and yet deny that they are actually doing it. But the evidence is overwhelming. The left has stopped schools from calling Christmas vacations by that name — the name schools called them throughout American history until the last couple of decades. Almost every non-Christian school in America now calls Christmas vacation “winter break.” Fewer and fewer Americans, stores, companies or media wish people “merry Christmas,” preferring the neutered “happy holidays” (despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans celebrate Christmas). And in but one generation, virtually every American business has gone from having a “Christmas party” to having a “holiday party.”
Having written in the past about the falsehood of “merry Christmas,” “Christmas vacation” and “Christmas party” not being “inclusive,” I will not reiterate the point here. Suffice it to say that it takes a breathtaking level of narcissism for a non-Christian to be offended by mentions of Christmas and a breathtaking level of meanness to seek to deprive the vast majority of fellow Americans of the public mention of their holiday.
Rather, I want to try to explain why this has happened.
The “inclusive” argument is so absurd — I am a religious Jew and cannot even fathom being offended or feeling “not included” by an invitation to a Christmas party — that there have to be other, or at least additional, reasons for the left’s neutering of Christmas.
There are.
One is that the left sees in Christianity its primary ideological and political enemy. And it is right to do so. The only large-scale organized opposition to the left comes from the traditional Christian community — evangelical Protestants, traditional Catholics and faithful Mormons — and Orthodox Jews. Leftism is a secular religion, and it deems all other religions immoral and false.
From Karl Marx to Vladimir Lenin to George Soros, the left has regarded religion in general and Christianity in particular as the “opiate of the masses” — a drug that dulls the masses into accepting their oppressed condition and, thereby, keeps them from engaging in revolution.
The left understands that the more people believe in Christianity (and Judaism), the less chance the left has to gain power. The left doesn’t concern itself with Islam, because it perceives Islam as an ally in its war against Western civilization, and because leftists do not have the courage to confront Islam. They know that confronting religious Muslims can be fatal, whereas confronting religious Christians entails no risks.
Second, The left has not only warred against Christmas; it has sought to undermine other national identity holidays. For any number of reasons, not only including the left, Americans no longer celebrate George Washington’s birthday (it has de facto been replaced by the utterly meaningless “Presidents Day”) or Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, as they did when I was a child, my father was a child and his father was a child. The only American celebrated in a national holiday is Martin Luther King Jr., which is acceptable to the left since he is not white. One proof of the left’s desire to undermine specifically American national holidays is its war on the two remaining specifically American holidays: July Fourth and Thanksgiving.
The left deems Thanksgiving a historical fraud and an immoral celebration of “genocide” of the American Indians — which is what American children are now taught in many American public schools. And “happy Thanksgiving” has been replaced by “happy holidays.” As for July Fourth, The New York Times is leading the undermining of the celebration of America’s birthday by declaring that the real founding of America was 1619, the year, The Times asserts, African slaves first arrived on the American continent.
Of course, there is still Veterans Day and Memorial Day, but they are not specifically American national holidays; just about every country has such holidays.
But Christmas is a problem for the left. It celebrates religion, and it does so in quintessentially American ways (take American Christmas music, for example).
The third and final reason is that the left is joyless. Whatever and whomever the left influences has less joy in life. I have met happy and unhappy liberals, and happy and unhappy conservatives, but I’ve never encountered a happy leftist. And the further left you go, the more angry and unhappy the people you will encounter. Happy women and happy blacks, for example, are far more likely to be conservative than on the left.
Christmas is just too happy for the left. “Holly, jolly” is not a left-wing term.

Company Memo
TO: All Employees
DATE: November 1, 2019
RE: Gala Christmas Party
I'm happy to inform you that the company Christmas Party will take place on December 23rd, starting at noon in the private function room at the Grill House.
There will be a cash bar and plenty of drinks! We'll have a small band playing traditional carols... feel free to sing along. And don't be surprised if our CEO shows up dressed as Santa Claus!
A Christmas tree will be lit at 1:00 PM. Exchanges of gifts among employees can be done at that time; however, no gift should be over $10.00 to make the giving of gifts easy for everyone's pockets.
This gathering is only for employees!
Our CEO will make a special announcement at that time!
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Patty

RE: Gala Holiday Party
In no way was yesterday's memo intended to exclude our Jewish employees. We recognize that Hanukkah is an important holiday, which often coincides with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year.
However, from now on, we're calling it our "Holiday Party." The same policy applies to any other employees who are not Christians and to those still celebrating Reconciliation Day.
There will be no Christmas tree and no Christmas carols will be sung.
We will have other types of music for your enjoyment.
Happy now?
Happy Holidays to you and your family,
Patty

Regarding the note I received from a member of Alcoholics Anonymous requesting a non-drinking table, you didn't sign your name...
I'm happy to accommodate this request, but if I put a sign on a table that reads, "AA Only", you wouldn't be anonymous anymore. How am I supposed to handle this?
Somebody?
And sorry, but forget about the gift exchange, no gifts are allowed since the union members feel that $10.00 is too much money and the executives believe $10.00 is a little chintzy.
REMEMBER: NO GIFTS EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED.

RE: Generic Holiday Party
What a diverse group we are! I had no idea that December 20th begins the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during daylight hours.
There goes the party! Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees' beliefs. Perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party or else package everything for you to take it home in little foil doggy baggy. Will that work?
Meanwhile, I've arranged for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet, and pregnant women will get the table closest to the restrooms.
Gays are allowed to sit with each other. Lesbians do not have to sit with Gay men, each group will have their own table.
Yes, there will be flower arrangement for the Gay men's table.
To the person asking permission to cross dress, the Grill House asks that no cross-dressing be allowed, apparently because of concerns about confusion in the restrooms. Sorry.
We will have booster seats for short people.
Low-fat food will be available for those on a diet.
I am sorry to report that we cannot control the amount of salt used in the food . The Grill House suggests that people with high blood pressure taste a bite first.
There will be fresh "low sugar" fruits as dessert for diabetics, but the restaurant cannot supply "no sugar" desserts. Sorry!
Did I miss anything?!?!?

I've had it with you vegetarian prikks!!! We're going to keep this party at the Grill House whether you like it or not, so you can sit quietly at the table furthest from the "grill of death," as you so quaintly put it, and you'll get your f*%^ing salad bar, including organic tomatoes.
But you know, tomatoes have feelings, too. They scream when you slice them. I've heard them scream. I'm hearing them scream right NOW!
The rest of you weirdos can kiss my arse. I hope you all have a rotten holiday!

TIM ALLEN - ON TRUMP - worth while for open minds
TIM ALLEN - ON TRUMP
Whatever your feelings for Trump, these are some interesting points that Tim Allen makes. Put your hatred aside and think about these observations.
Tim Allen is credited with writing this ...
From: Tim Allen
Here are some interesting points to think about prior to 2020, especially to my friends on the fence, like moderate Democrats, Libertarians and Independents and the never Trump Republicans and those thinking of "walking away" from the Democratic party.
Women are upset at Trump’s naughty words -- they also bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray.
Not one feminist has defended Sarah Sanders. It seems women’s rights only matter if those women are liberal.
No Border Walls. No voter ID laws. Did you figure it out yet? But wait... there's more.
Chelsea Clinton got out of college and got a job at NBC that paid $900,000 per year. Her mom flies around the country speaking out about white privilege.
And just like that, they went from being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections.
President Trump’s wall costs less than the Obamacare website. Let that sink in, America.
We are one election away from open borders, socialism, gun confiscation, and full-term abortion nationally. We are fighting evil.
They sent more troops and armament to arrest Roger Stone than they sent to defend Benghazi.
60 years ago, Venezuela was 4th on the world economic freedom index. Today, they are 179th and their citizens are dying of starvation. In only 10 years, Venezuela was destroyed by democratic socialism.
Russia donated $0.00 to the Trump campaign. Russia donated $145,600,000 to the Clinton Foundation. But Trump was the one investigated!
Nancy Pelosi invited illegal aliens to the State of the Union. President Trump Invited victims of illegal aliens to the State of the Union. Let that sink in.
A socialist is basically a communist who doesn’t have the power to take everything from their citizens at gunpoint ... Yet!
How do you walk 3000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight and with a cellphone?
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wants to ban cars, ban planes, give out universal income and thinks socialism works. She calls Donald Trump crazy.
Bill Clinton paid $850,000 to Paula Jones to get her to go away. I don’t remember the FBI raiding his lawyer’s office.
I wake up every day and I am grateful that Hillary Clinton is NOT the president of the United States of America.
The same media that told me Hillary Clinton had a 95% chance of winning now tells me Trump’s approval ratings are low.
“The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.”— Margaret Thatcher
Maxine Waters opposes voter ID laws; She thinks that they are racist. You need to have a photo ID to attend her town hall meetings.
President Trump said — "They’re not after me. They’re after you. I’m just in their way."
Now, go Back & Read this Again like your Future Depends upon it,
